I ordered these online for pick-up at a store. They were a gift for my mother, who loves black and white diamonds. She has her ears pierced twice, so these are for wearing in the upper hole with her black&white diamond hoops in the lower one. I wasn't sure how they'd look color-wise but we are both very impressed. They are a true, dark black. The size is perfect because they are small enough they don't look gaudy in the upper hole but still plenty large enough to be seen. She LOVES them. I should have gotten a pair for myself, too! I agree that the backs were a little loose. I always check for loose earring backs when I purchase earrings, and the salesperson offered to swap them out for me; they had a whole box of just white gold earring backs! I will say if you use online ordering for store pickup, don't be surprised if they cancel your order due to insufficient stock even though it shows in stock on the website. I had to order at a 2nd store in a different town...

The backs are really loose tho, so I've already lost an earring. If you get different backs (rubber) they'll be fine

My husband gave me these as an early Christmas present. He is in love with them... I love them too. They're the perfect size so they're not annoying... like stabbing my head or hair getting wrapped while I sleep. They're not as dark as pictured, not black at all... actually more of a see-thru charcoal color. I love the white gold. I'm more of a silver girl.
