15,000 BTU Multi-Room Air Conditioner —

Purchased in June 08. The installation on slanted window sill was a slight challenge but worth it! The slip-in case made installation and placement of the heavier "guts" much simpler and safer. The unit is quiet and works wonderfully! I installed it the day before 100 degree temperature in Oregon and it had no problem cooling a 21 by 14 living room with attached 10 by 10 dining room (394 sq ft). The house was built in the 1950's so no insulation in walls, 9 ft ceiling and old double hung windows. Within minutes I could feel cool air at the back of the house 45 feet away from the unit!! The other reviews really surprised me. The unit I purchased is efficient and was a great buy.
