“Martha Stewart Mosaic Birdbath”

I purchased this in July 2007to replace my old birdbath on my front lawn. Now in January 2008, I see it is ruined. The beautiful mosaic pieces are peeling and chipping. I can't believe that being out in the cold weather would do this. I guess it's only suitable for warm weather or just to have 4-5 months.

I bought the Ashville birdbath from Martha Stewart at Kmart ans it did not hold up either. It was supposed to be aluminum which should not peel or rust. But the top basin is ruined and I can't get a replacement part for it.
