28 Days Later is the best Zombie movie to date! It is nice that it starts out with a new take on HOW the events in the movie happen. They don't go with that same old clich? of "the dead came to life" or "mysterious gas". They instead use a very realistic scenario that helps set up the whole movie. Another nice touch is that since these are not the walking dead they are able to run which adds another scary element to the realism of this movie. Note there is no happy ending, again adding a realistic element.
Buy and watch this movie if you have not already!!
I must say I knew little about this movie coming into my first viewing and I was truly blow away by it. Cillian Murphy puts together a great performance in one of his earlier roles. John Murphy adds a memorable soundtrack that has been reused several times since this films release. Its a wild and crazy ride, but at the same time it adds in that hint of despair and makes you think, what if the world were to really end in this fashion?
My sister aproached to me last year ant told me: "I think you'll love this movie" and gave the 28 DAYS LATER DVD. I was like "Ok, I'll watch the movie". When the movie finished I was amazed. It is the best zombie movie ever. It is really scary and not fool as Dawn of Dead. I have to congratulate John Murphy for the soundtrack. It is really memorable. Especialy the theme song "In The House - In A Heart Beat" and I have to congratulate the Art Director for such a wonderful job with the infected.
This movie is ok. I just get sick of the same plot as a lot of other movies. Don't get me wrong though I like the movie.
