I was very pleased with the pub table/saddle chair set. It was delivered free of charge due to not being in stock at store. Arrived with no damaged pieces. Had looked at a couple other national chain stores with similiar design sets. I got a great price on this set (watched for the sale price).
The wood is very solid wood, unlike the others I saw that had dowels showing through the wood on the outer sides. The assembly of pieces included glue and screws for extra secure connections. Only one chair didn't sit quite level, but after adjusting assembled areas that was corrected. We are very happy...
read full review »One of the benches was poorly tooled, and we couldn't assemble it. It was the last thing to assemble, too. Everything else was done. We went back to our local Sears and asked if we could swap out the non-fitting pieces with one of the assembled benches in the display set on the retail floor. (That was the only table set the store had in stock.) The manager allowed us to do that. Yay. So we made the switch and everything is fine at home. Solved a big problem. We did NOT want to have to disassemble all of those pieces and ship the whole thing back to Sears. So thanks to a friendly manager. ...
read full review »This table fit perfectly in the small dining space of my condo. I have used this table for small dinner parties, crafts (i.e. sewing etc). I love this table. It is durable and strong and easy to put together!!!
Very sturdy with solid feel. Only downside is the wood is a much darker color then the picture you see (even the picture on the box of the product)
A nice piece of furniture, however craftsmanship can be dicey. Its solid wood pieces are top notch but my table top had a very small crack in the side from over tightening a screw at the manufactures plant. Oh well, I didnt take it back just turned that side toward the wall, not a big deal. Overall a very nice table and stools for the price. Stools are difficult to put together, you will need a power drill, additional wood glue, and some arm strength. Oh and Sears has the best customer service ever!! I am going to try and buy everything from them, they were awesome! Their online ordering system...
read full review »First, it looks even better in reality than it did online. From what I saw online, i thought the oak would be duller, so I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled the pieces out and realized they all had a brighter, richer finish than in the pictures. The wood is heavy and seems to be good quality , the finish was flawless, and the pieces are just the right height.
Overall, I was very happy with my purchase. The only thing that put a damper on it for me was getting the legs of 2 of my stools to fit into the holes in the seat. I banged them on the floor (carpeted floor) for an inordinate amount of...
read full review »This set is by far one of the nicest dining room sets that I have ever owned. I have owned sets that cost triple what this did and they did not hold up at all. I have owned this dining room set for about two years and it still looks as good as the day we received it. The chairs are extremely sturdy, however you probably would not want to sit on them for a long time as they can get a little uncomfortable after awhile. The table itself is perfect for just my husband and I with more than enough room for dinner. I must admit that I was very cautious about buying a table and chair set out...
read full review »When i saw this set in the store, i like it right away, the finish is very neat, look nice, and solid wood, very easy to assemble, I have no complain at all. i have been looking for the small dinnig set with height of the bar. and I am happy I found it. with the reasonable price. its really match my small studio. not even take away the space. I will recommend this to friends.
This is a very nice set. It is sturdy and comfortable. Very easy to put together.
I bought this table as a doorbuster the day after Thanksgiving. It is very sturdy, solid wood and compact enough to fit into my small dining area. Putting the legs on the table was a piece of cake, but none of the stool leg dowels lined up with the holes in the stool seats. Luckily my dad came over to help me put this table together, because I never could have done it by myself. I had to squeeze the stool legs and maneuver them over the holes while my dad put a 2X4 on the leg end and hammered them into the holes. Even then, it was practically impossible to get them all snug to the stool...
read full review »I love this dining set. It was easy to setup (I did it alone), & it looks beautiful in my kitchen. I have a small house so the table was just right. I like that it looks contemporary yet is practical. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to purchase a pub set. This is the one you've been searching for!
