As others have said, the Zenith is really an LG Plasma. Maybe not quite as nice as the Samsung or Panasonic, but a lot less money ($415 after Bing savings). I used a DVD calibration disk - Digital Video Essentials, which made a huge difference in the picture. The sound is very good with HD programs, but we use our 5.1 stereo set up for most shows. Glare is not a problem in our living room, and the off axis viewing is amazing. The stand seems hardy enough, and I used two cables to attach the TV to the entertainment cabinet. We watched the Winter Olympics, and were amazed at the highlight / shadow...
read full review »This is really an LG TV since it's made by LG. The equivalent LG model was recently rated a consumer best buy in **************** which is why I bought it. The only think I don't like about the TV is the glare at night. If you have a lamp or hanging lights in the background they will reflect off of the TV screen. Not a big deal to turn them off but it is something to consider.
We purchased this television then it was on sell, and are totally satisfied. You'll be hard pressed to find a new 42" plasma for $400.00 anywhere. Wish it had more output jacks, but overall it's a deal breaker.
I had it for less than a month and it was great. The picture was stunning and beats any LCD out there. Movies looked amazing with no ghosting and my Xbox 360 had no visible lag. Unfortunately, it was stolen along with other electronics I had. It seems someone else thought it looked amazing too. It sucks because I just bought it.
I'm really not sure what the people who reviewed this item meant when they said the stand didn't come off. The stand isn't on the television in the box. You have to put it on. It also comes with a filler panel if you want to mount it on the wall.
This may not be on the higher end of televisons, but it certainly gets the job done. Especially for the price. Plus plasma is the way to go over LCD.
I purchased this Zenith(LG) 42" plasma tv model(Z42PQ20) from Sears.com after seeing it @ my local Sears store in Jan. 2010. I have had it for a couple of months now & my family and I love it! The picture quality is exceptional with brilliant colors. The sleek, glossy black, piano finish is quite beautiful & pleasing to the eyes even if the tv is off. Before purchasing it, I logged onto Sears.com to research the specs and product overview & found that Sears had extensive detailed information & the best price. This was very instrumental in my decision making process. I also purchased...

We have had a Vizio LCD for the past couple years and it was fine but not as nice as the Zenith Plasma. We ordered online from Sears and picked it up a few hours later, everything went pretty smooth and now we are enjoying great quality TV and It only cost us $526.00 including tax since there was a 5% online discount. Haven't had any issues with glare whatsoever. Viewing distance is around 12 feet and it looks great on the wall, it's also very thin. Positively recommend...

This TV is worth every penny and more. First the notion 720p is too outdated and pic quality is much worse I would say on a LCD tv that is at 60hz refresh rate maybe but a Plasma with 600hz refresh rate is great. The refresh rate plays an ideal role in pic quality and motion blur along with pixels. With a refresh rate of 600hz you will be fine with either 720 or 1080p remember that broadcast tv right now is 720 at a max in HiDef. Two hdmi and two AV works fine for me and the sound is good for a Plasma. Diff between Plasma and LCD is weight Plasma heavier and you will pay more for the LCD...
read full review »Ordered on a Saturday for store delivery and picked up on monday. Excellent plasma for the money. Picture is bright and colors are vivid as would be expected. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality HDTV at an affordable price point.
Got two of these on black Friday doorbuster deals. One for mother and one for sister. Also gave my newphew and neice my older 360 as I bought a new Elite model for the HDMI and 120gb... anyways. I hooked up the older 360 w the components cables expecting automatic 720p settings. Low and behold it defaulted to 1080p. I was astounded. I then decided to try out my PS3 on the one at moms to see how the color was on the plasma vs. my Vizio 1080p LCD as I had noticed regular television being nice and vibrant on my sisters television. So I decided to look at the manual for the television. Low and...
read full review »I received this really nice tv as a Christmas Gift. The picture is great and the controls are user friendly and the remote is simple. You have alot of control over the picture settings and if you are an advance user, well there is some setting you will like and if your not... you will be happy also. I am not sure about the reviewer complaint of logo burn inn as I am not experianceing that. Plasma is better suited for darker rooms and not bright shiny rooms and that is why LCD looks so good in well lit areas. I have read tons of reviews and profesional opinions and they go both ways on who is better....
