Call me dazzled by his stunning smile and boyish good looks, but this early Brad Pitt movie is one of my favorites. I saw it in Columbia, Missouri, in the theaters, with my mother-in-law, who reminded me often that her family had had a "phone like that one", a "car like that", etc.. It's a good story about two brothers growing up and the river that represents sought-after peace and love.
