Pretty good.

I have had this and one just like it for years. It works great. I love the caller ID announcer. The only thing I would change is that the cord be able to be plugged and unplugged from the unit instead of being "installed". Only because if it gets chewed on by a puppy or yanked out, you have to buy a new machine instead of plugging the cord back in. Otherwise, great machine for the price.

Almost perfect

This machine would be perfect if it was able to announce the full date of a message (e.g. May 2, 2007) instead of only the day of the week (e.g. Wednesday). By announcing that a message was left on Monday, there is nothing on the machine which allows one to know the exact Monday of any week, month or year. Messages saved for more than one week therefore can become confusing as to their exact date. In all other respects, the machine is great. AT&T Digital Answering Machine

This is a fair to good answering machine as long as you don't expect too much. I've had mine for over a year but it has stopped working on occasion and I thought I'd have to go shopping but I unplugged it and when I plugged it in again it worked so it's still around. As far as sound quality, I have no complaints so as long as you don't expect much you won't be disappointed and cross your fingers that it doesn't stop functioning after the warranty expires. Keep your receipt!
