I am so frustrated with ordering online. I had ordered a backpack on the Kmart website last week, only to have it cancelled yesterday due to not in stock. I ordered a different backpack online yesterday, and once again it was cancelled today. I decided to go to the Sears website and see if they had either of those backpacks online, both were listed on the website but showed availability from Kmart. I called customer service and was told that although the items are listed on the website as in stock, they are not available in my region’s warehouse. I asked the CS Rep what area my region covers and was told she has no way of knowing. I asked for a phone number of the corporate office and she again told me she didn’t have that information either. I think this is a sure way of discouraging business. I have dealt with other companies that will put an order on hold and have the inventory sent from a region that is not in my area. If the item is region specific, then when placing an order there should be a prompt stating that the item is not available in the region rather than having to furnish all the credit card and shipping information.
