I bought the lawn sweeper to mostly pick up fall leaves. I get a lot of leaves and the sweeper fills fast, so it means more dumping. You will find it best to have some sort of system of sweeping and unloading at your mulch pile. The rope/pull unload system works fine and saves getting on and off the...

Most Helpful Critical Review

I bought this instead of the Craftsman due to the cheaper price.  BIG, HUGE mistake!  What a piece of junk!  I used it 3 times a total of about 2 hours and the bag is ripping already!  A 6 inch tear where the bag meets the sweeper body.

I had bought a USED Craftsman and got 15 years more service...

I really like this sweeper. It cost more now but I would still buy it today. I set it at 3/4" above ground height so I intentionally do not pick up all of the grass. It still removes all visible grass and tree leaves. I have experimented with mulching or not mulching and am still not sure which is better. If you mulch, you can sweep while you mow, however, the mower causes the sweeper to fill faster on the right side requiring more frequent emptying, but I have to go over very little to clean up remnants after mowing. If I do not mulch, I have to sweep the entire lawn after mowing, but...

NICE PRODUCT

Great little sweeper!

At first I was concerned that my lawn was too small and there would be problems turning, not so, it takes sharp turns with no problem.  The bag was a pain to put together.  The sweeper works great and picks up everything, very much worth the money.

Agri-Fab 38 in. Lawn Sweeper

This item was a bit tedious to put together, as it came fully disassembled. Also it was missing parts (screws,) so a trip to the hardware store was needed. Once put together it does do the job quite well. I'd recommend it for an average lawn to 1 acre, as it's not a very big unit.

I would have bought the craftsman but they were sold out all over, necessity caused me to buy this cheaply built knock off.  Spend the extar 40 bucks for a good one

Chain keeps coming off

This is the third year I have used it and the chain keeps coming off. there does not seem to be an adjustment. Wheels each have a chain that turns brush and they keep coming off and then they get into the sprocket and the wheels lock up. I have bought a couple 1/2 links for the chain because it is the same size as a bicycle and that should tighten it up. I would have thought Sears would have included an adjustable idler pulley. It does a great job other than the chain problem

I bought a 42" from Orscheln's farm store cause they had it in stock and on asle for the price that this one is regular.  thats the only draw back is that sears didnt have it in stock.  was sceptacle after reading reviews  but bought anyways and was very happy it was kinda crazy putting it together but took alittle under an hour.  it worked great. i beat the **** out of it and it held together fine.  ive got little over an acre and the ground is ruff and i went about speed four on my mower and beat it up quite a bit but held together fine.  it did a great job picking it up and the faster...

Excellent Sweeper

I've had a Craftsman Lawn Sweeper for 10 years and it works terrific. If you have ever raked the lawn or leaves by hand, you will have an immediate appreciation for this sweeper. It's very reliable.

38 in lawn sweeper

The lawn sweeper was very easy to assemble and works as intended.

Flimsy, comes appart.

I bought the sweeper since I thought it was a good value for the Money. I returned it the day after I received it. It is flimsy, comes appart, the bag is way too big for the frame so it des not sit right and once the bag is 1/4 full whatever you picked up starts falling on the sides. I would not advice anybody to buy this sweeper.

I would not recommend this to anyone.  After almost 2 hours of assembly time, I was excited to put this to use.  Well, that excitement was very short lived.  After only 3 trips across my yard (about 5 minutes of use) I noticed that nothing was being picked up and also heard a clicking noise.  Stopping to see what was wrong revealed that both bolts had worked loose on one of the brushes and one in the other brush. The brush now with no bolts was bent terribly!

Fortunately, Sears did accept the item back and gave me a full refund the next day.  Back to the leaf blower for me!
