I have a compressor that my Father bought WAYYYY back in 1965.  It is a Craftsman with a 3/4 HP motor and a 15 gallon tank if I am not mistaken.  I have used it to Paint cars, use air tools, Sandblast..a miriad of uses..and it never once gave out on me..still runs great.  I bought this one due to the Quality of the old one.  I figured I could use a new compressor in the Garage just in case the old one ever dies.  I have used this new one for about 8 hours total time now and have no problems other than the pressure regulator went a bit crazy.  It seemed to drop down in PSI with every use last...

I've seen some reviews for this stating it doesn't come with oil and that a few have ruined the compressor motor by starting it up without oil.  Mine arrived with oil and I read the manual before starting it and the manual states it already has oil.  Maybe Sears made some changes to alleviate warranty repairs.  So far this compressor works great and seems to outperform my Craftsman 4hp oiless compressor that I had for over 12 years. It is much, much quieter and I can place it right next to the doorway leading from the garage to my home without any concerns about the sounds of it running. It...

Craftsman 3/8 in. Reversible Drill

I used to use this drill everyday when I was working as a machinist/supercharger technician. It worked great for drilling small holes in seals so i could use a puller. I have also heavily used it for drilling into alluminum. The drill lacks any amount of torque so drilling into stainless is difficult unless you go really slow. It is awesome for high speed precise drilling, but not good for anything that requires torque (as with most air drills). If i have air readily available i go for this drill over any corded or cordless drills. I also love the compact size which makes it easy to hold in small...

I use a 3 wheel recubent trike. The tires use 100 PSI each.  Every week I have to add air into them. I have been using this machine for the past three years and it has never failed me yet and is still going strong.

I have never owned an impact wrench and wanted something mostly for changing tires.  First thing I did when I got home was rotate the tires on my van.  Done deal in less than 15 minutes!  I had trouble breaking some lugs loose with my four way, but this tool made light work out of it and my compressor did not kick in until I was on my last tire.  I do light mechanic work and this should serve my purpose well.  I recommend this tool for those who do general mechanics.

I bought this compressor mainly for blowing dust out of computers and other electronics.  It's okay for this function but I don't think it could handle any air tools.  It takes about 10 minutes for it to fill from completely empty and its recovery time is approximately 90 seconds (if your not using any air at the time). (Turns on at about 85psi and shuts off around 110psi)  If you are drawing any air during recovery, the pump cannot keep up.

It's loud.  Not as loud as a diaphragm compressor, but it's not quiet like the tag in the store suggests.  You cannot have a converstaion next to it while...

Folks, the customer service I received was great! I was too early for the, "Friends & Family" automatic 10% off. The Sears rep told me to not buy this Open box item and to come back at 6:00 pm to save 10%. Ok I said. Went back and brought the unit home. Tightened down all the screws to make sure they were snug. Filled with oil, air filter installed, fired up and went to pressure cut-off. Not too loud. UPS is picking up my Allpower APC 4028 return sometime in the morning. Fired it up and it could not hold air. All Power manufacturer sent me a new safety air release...I installed it to only find...

Craftsman Hose Reel & Hose

Craftsman Hose Reel & Hose

NOV

Definitely would NOT recommend this to a friend.  I simply can't believe they actually tested this product even once before putting it on the shelf.  It will not retract the entire hose unless I stand there painstakingly feeding the hose in inch by frustrating inch ensuring it is getting evenly wound from left to right.  I know you can work around by carefully feeding the hose in, but the whole point of this contraption (vs. a manual hose reel) is to make the job of winding a hose quicker and easier.  If I had been able to use this unit once before buying, I would never have bought it.  Definitely...

ASE Master Mechanic

Purchasing this air gun was one of the best decisions I have made in regards to air tools. I am an ASE Master Mechanic who works at a transmission shop in CT and have used this gun 5 days a week for just about 3 years now. Originally, I had bought this gun as a back-up, but soon after its purchase my primary gun died and I turned to this one. I can honestly say that it has held it's own in the shop. I work with a few other guys who are strictly Snap-On. My Craftsman has outlasted 2 Snap-On's and 1 Blue-Point, which were all purchased after I began using this full-time. Another upside is that...
