Nowadays with gas being so high, it doesn't pay to have to shop around for the best prices on things. Many times when I am looking for something in particular, I will try one place to get it. If they don't have it, I go online to Amazon.com. They carry almost everything you might want.
I usually shop for video games or books with Amazon. Many times there will be an older book that I want. I try to look for it at our local used bookstore but they have gotten away with carrying the older books. AMAZON! I always get on Amazon and they always have it. I can usually get it new at a very low price. Just today I found 2 books I have been wanting both for $4 each and both were hardbacks in excellent condition. They had copies of them in paperback for even cheaper but I wanted the hardbacks. Shipping on books is almost always $3.99. So I pd $8 for each book. I just got a hardback book at my local used bookstore for $8. So Amazon meets their price and I don't have to spend the gas to go out there. Can't beat that can you?
I also signed up for Amazon Prime awhile back. It has a yearly fee but anytime you buy anything new from Amazon, the shipping is free. Many video games that I buy from them are new so the shipping is free. And it is 2 day shipping so you get it really fast.
When you buy used from Amazon, you are purchasing from 3rd parties, not Amazon. But of all the purchases I have made with them, I have not had any problems. THey will usually tell you that your purchases will arrive in a couple weeks but I always get them very fast. And the website tells you what condition the item they are selling is in. So you are not surprised when you get the item and you can get it in the condition you want. One book I was wanting today in hardback I could have gotten for as low as $2.60 but the description said it was written in and highlighted so I opted for a copy that was $4 and was said to be in excellent condition with no marks and good cover.
