I purchased this boot in four of the colors offered. I loved the fit, the height of both the boot itself and the heel. But I ended up exchanging two pair and getting two more of the extact same boots. I wore all six pairs (I am counting the four original pairs and the two I returned/replaced) either once or twice and the exact same thing happened with each pair. The little cap that protects the bottom of the heel either loosened or came completely off. After this happened to the second pair, I started to check the cap in the store before or before I wore them. There was no way of knowing this would continue to happen. I am not overweight; nor do I had any type of foot problem that should cause this. All six pairs of boots were returned looking brand new, other than the loose/missing cap. My local shoe repair shop charges $10 a pair to replace those little caps, and I don't mind paying that after I've worn my shoes for a season and the cap is worn down. I just don't understand what happened to these cute boots that I have a love/hate relationship with. By the way, when I returned them the cashier told me I was the 'only' one returning them. If there is anyone else out there that has had this problem, please speak up.
PS~ forgot to mention this-
On one pair both of the heel caps loosed up the first time I wore them. After walking on carpet at church, and black top in the parking lot, I didn't notice the caps were loose. I walked into a store and as soon as I stepped on the floor I nearly lost my balance. Not only was this a great inconvience, it could have easily caused an accident. I was very disappointed I lost a lot of time traveling back and forth to the store returning and replacing these boots. The even had to order one pair and have it delivered to my home. I also wasted two cans of water-repellent I sprayed 2 coats on each pair before I wore them.
