Greatest gadget of all time!

The iPhone 3G is an unparalleled electronic tool.  It's more than just a phone, it's really a pocket computer.  The interface is beautiful and easy to use.  The web browser is just as good as you'll find on a full size computer, not some watered down smartphone version.  And the apps from the App...

The  Apple I Phone has just about everything you woud need for communication purposes.  However, using all the things on it could get quite costly every month and I for 1 don't have that in my budget.  I can see where business types would use it, but I don't need that much on  a phone.

BEST PHONE EVER!

This is the best phone EVER! i used to own a blackberry and it was good but when the iPhone 3G came out, my bf gave it to me as a gift. Best gift ever. Typing is so easy, good connection and easy e-mail access. Thousands of applications from games, to sports, to sex offender lists, etc. My son loves to play with my phone when we go away on trips. It has a GPS that shows traffic, also the feature that lets you stay on a call while you browse the internet/mail/texts/etc without having to hang up. The new update lets you MMS!

The iPhone 3G has won me over

When the first iPhone came out I thought, "WOW, I gotta have that."  Then after trying out a friend's I wasn't to impressed.  My biggest gripe was just that i didn't feel like i could text very well on it.  Texting is a way of life these days, so you have to be able to do it!  The keyboard didn't make me happy and my friend's case seemed to crowd my thumbs.  I also wasn't thrilled with what it could, or could not do.

When the 3G came out I thought I would give it a few months then take another look.  Now, except for a few minor problems I have with it, I love it!  It's really easy to learn...

When I decided to purchase the IPhone, I wasn't sure I was making the right decision.  I'm 70 years old and although I use my computer & the net every day, wasn't sure I'd have the patience to learn all the "tricks" of the new IPhone.  My grandson taught me all I needed to know to get started.  I love the ease of using the IPhone.  I am an RN and still working.  I use the phone daily to contact patients of my physician clients.  The Iphone makes it so much easier than my previous phone and am glad I made the switch.

So I was a smart phone user - Cingular 8525 to be exact, and thought he iPhone was just a toy.  I bought one for my son and called it a day.  Well, after my 2nd windows reboot and having the thing just totally crap out on me after less than two years I headed to ATT.  To replace my windows version smart phone I was going to have to pay over $499, but the 16 Gig 3G iPhone was only $299.  That worked for me.  Pros - love the interface and the fact that there are a good number of apps.  No more windows media player.  iTunes is as big of a monopoly as windows, but hey - I like the ease of use. ... read full review »

After about 3 weeks using my iPhone 3G, I must say that it's head and shoulders above the rest of the cell phones I've ever had (Nokia, Panasonic, Sony Ericsson x 2, and Sam Sung).  However, it is not a phone for novices despite the relatively low price (for what you really get: wifi, excellent 2g camera, 3G, iPod video with speaker even, music and photos, GPS and Applications from the App Store that make up for any features not already installed like internet radio) are mindboggling.  I predict that this phone will be the model for all new phones in the very near future.  Interestingly, battery... read full review »

Very, very cool.

I am very satasfied.  3G does suck the life out of the battery, but I find Edge/WIFI good enough to deal with.  I switch to 3G when I need to do some heavy browsing, but otherwise live in Edge.

The biggest innovation is the app store, talk about a great way of distributing software!
