I bought a new Sears 22" Craftsman selfpropelled mower a couple of weeks ago and thought I would buy this cover for it since it states that it "provides protection against various elements including the sun, dust and rain". I started to take it back right away since it is a very tight fit and hard to get on. I decided to keep it and put it on my lawnmower and placed it on a portion of the patio thats not covered next to the house. After a light rain this morning I checked to see that my lawnmower was dry under the cover and found the it did nothing to stop the rain. It was as wet underneath as if I had left my lawnmower out in the rain uncovered. I wonder if anyone who says they are happy with this cover have checked their mower after a rain. I am retired and have always bought Sears lawnmowers and tools my entire life. I'm not down on Sears but feel this cover should not be sold as protection against rain. I bought a Suncast mini storage building to put my mower in last night but haven't...

I just had my mower repaired and prepared for the season. Randy the mechanic suggested that the problems were due to exposure to the elements. I needed an economic and dependable solution. This cover fits the bill. The salesman was also helpful as I could not immediately find it on the shelf.

I saw the Craftsman Lawn Mower Cover online, within the Craftsman website and it was truly designed to fit my dad's lawnmower, which he keeps outside-It is attractive and fits perfectly! Excellent material! Think this will last a long time! Excellent product!

Nice product.. if it fit. I just bought a craftman 22" fwd self propelled mower and bought this cover.. it is a very tight fit on the back wheels. (The cover barely fits over back wheels.)

The cover fits from one end to the other but from side to side is another story. I have a craftsman 22" with large back wheels and collection bag. The cover doesnt connect around the back when the bag is on though the instructions made it like it would be no problem. If it doesnt fit dont be tricky with the wording just say it doesnt fit.

The cover material doesnt get any thicker in the area where it wraps around the front wheels so I have to doubt how long its going to last since there is obvious friction there between the wheels and the ground surface.

Since it doesnt connect where the collection bag is it just provides overhead protection so this weekend rain was moving sideways and went right under the cover where the sides are partially unprotected.

You can get a tarp for $10 from harbor frieght that is ugly and does the job. I just thought for $25 I would get something that looked good that was made by craftsman like the mower and it would fit better.

The Craftsman Lawn Mower Cover fits like a glove. (33398) It is made out of a nylon material that is mildew and UV resistant for all weather protection. It closes in the back with snap together clip, and is very tight at the bottom for a snug fit. This cover will not blow away during transportation. The cover will also fit most types of Craftsman push mowers, I have two and it will fit them both. Good price point at $24.99, if you purchase a more expensive push mower this is the least you can do to protect your investment over the winter months or during transportation. Also the cover comes with a vented bag for storage when not in use. This is what took me by surprise, the Craftsman logo is not a patch, not a sticker, but it is embroidered on the cover. Overal this is a great value for the price.

I recently purchased a new mower (Item # 07137659000) and decided to get a cover for it so I could keep it outside since I don't have room in the garage for it. The cover comes in it's own carrying case with a pull string to tie it up. The cover fit over the handle and front wheels pretty well, but would not go over the back wheels at all, it wasn't wide enough, even though the picture on the website shows it going over the big real wheels. So instead of putting it over the back wheels I just kinda tucked it in on the inside of the back wheels, that seemed to work well. That's fine with me since the front wheel drive box and all the controls are covered perfectly. There's belt clip on the back as well so you can click it tight. The material seems very high quality, water resistant, UV protected, etc. Overall I'm pretty satisfied regardless of the imperfect fit, but would recommend this to people who need covers for their mowers....

This is not your typical, cheap vinyl lawn mower cover. It's made out of a nylon-type fabric that has held up well through a full mowing season and the winter, outside exposed to the elements. The elastic around the bottom is like a bungee cord. The cover locks tightly around the mower wheels to keep the cover firmly in place, but is easy to get on and off the mower. Highly recommend....
