The Aroma 7 Cup Rice Cooker refers to the final yield of cooked rice. That is usually one cup uncooked rice to 2 cups water. You will get two cups in no time. just set your rice on cook, and on to whatever else needs your attention in the kitchen.
Basmati is a fine rice that takes even longer to cook than any other rice, but NOT with Arroma! It cooks in just about 2 minutes longer instead of 20 minutes longer. It does not stick, it comes out perfectly every time, that is unless a helpful child puts "instant" rice in the cooker. This is meant for rice in a bag or box that has not been parboiled...

I purchase this for my daughter as a gift. Turns out the whole family uses it. It is a great cooker, good for single servings to 7 servings. Cooks the rice in about 20 minutes and is always at perfection. I have done Jasmine and brown rice. Both came out perfect. Only complaint is that the rice does have a tendency to stick to the bottom. It doesn't burn but you will have the bottom rice stuck. Sometimes cleaning takes a bit of elbow grease to get it unstuck. Other than that this is a great little cooker. Easy to use and produces great rice.
A rice cooker is one of the best things that could happen in cooking. I used to be able to cook decent rice, but somewhere along the way, I lost my touch. A rice cooker is set it and forget it convenience. When the rice is done cooking, it automatically sets to keep warm, so if you forget about it cause you got caught up tending to the kids or playing video games or just plum forgot you even cooked rice, no problem.
I just recently bought the AROMA rice cooker and I cant believe I have lived without it. Its easy to use and cleans beautifully & easily. I highly recommend it
This is a great, inexpensive rice cooker. I love the rice, it's always perfect in the way it's cooked. This thing is so easy to use, my family is getting tired of me cooking rice...
My son gave me one of these Aroma rice steamers for Xmas one year in red to match my kitchen. At first it sat there matching the decor then I finally tried using it and now use it at least twice a week! It's a must have for working moms like me.

didn't get one. I had two, so I gave her my old one. She still has it and uses it as much
as I do!! We love the ease and speed of making rice in this rice cooker. I also use it to
steam vegetables, it is GREAT for that as well!!
