arrow shed

This has been one sturdy little shed. It has outlasted the severe windstorms and 30+ inches of snow in Jan of 2009. We have had it about 3 yrs. We anchored it to a cement slab. Yes it has a lot of screws but that's what screw guns and family members were made for. I hasn't budged. Only problem is a large... read full review »

Do not buy this piece of trash. You need hours to put it up and low behold one snow storm and it gives in.

Can't even hold 4-5 inch load. 12 year warranty ??? My foot. You call customer service at Arrow and they are waiting right by the phone. Even before you utter the damage they are already offering...

Should have built my own...

I bought this shed 2 years ago and have hated it ever since.  The floor kit was recycled because it has to be "perfectly" level or else you can't assemble the shed.  The instructions fail to point out that once you get the roof on, it is extremely difficult to put the screws in across the top since you can't climb on it to get to the peak.  It would have been much faster to have built my own.

The kicker for me was that I just called arrow today because the shed has a 12 year warranty.  The roof on my shed collapsed over the winter from the snow (it's been an average winter here in Minneapolis,...

I will NEVER buy another thing again from this (Arrow) company, their customer service , both phone and on-line, is non-existent.  The snow wasn't even heavy yet!  The plastic edge along the roof had already snapped. Cold issue and cheap plastic perhaps?

No warranty worth a darn - 12 year limited?  What? Limited to sunshine or a little rain but 'Oh please, no snow'

If you loose items in it like I did - be prepared to call your home owners if you have the time - because Arrow DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.  They'll give me 50% discount on all parts I need to repair the unit - that's...

Before I begin please read the entire review. In the summer of 1997 my husband and I purchased this shed. Later that summer my mother-in-law purchased one as well. That was 13 years ago and there still going strong. I just ordered another one for her on 03/22/10 due to limited storage space. They both survived Hurricane Ivan which done some extensive damage to our area. This shed has well served it's purpose. There is a few things my dad helped us do that we believe help preserve the life of our sheds.

1.   We built a block foundation. There were 9 columns of blocks with 3 blocks to each column....

This is a great shed for the price and the space you get.  My only recommendatiobn is to follow the instructions. I had leveled the area but found out soon that my building was not plane.  So me and the wife had to make a few minor adjustments.  All in all this is a good looking shed and has ample room.

The Honda Civic of Sheds

PROS: This shed is inexpensive for the room it provides(I got it plus the floor grid on sale for $295); the shed is durable once constructed, although you'd never guess it when you open the 6'x4'x6" box it comes in and see its contents; I live in AZ, so this is perfect for keeping my tools out of the sun; directions for erecting building are straightforward; the sheet metal is forgiving when you're trying to line up screw holes (ie, if you aren't square, you can still make the shed work fine). CONS: Low entry clearance, so you will bump your head if you're not careful (I owned the same shed at... read full review »

I thought this was a great buy. I put this together buy myself in a couple of days. directions were step by step and building is sound and tough for a shed. For the price I would buy again.

not going to do this again

we purchased this item a few days ago and all the time we were putting it up, was like a guessing game. the instructions are not clear. the holes were not punched out on some of the beams and braces.and i am 5 '2" and i can not stand under the main beam and it is suppose to be a 10 X 9 . this does not make sense to me. it also took over two days to put up and that is not including the time to get the ground ready. the measurements are off because i bought three sheets of 4X8 wood panels and i ony needed two and 1/2. so i would not do this again.... the price is right, the customer service was good,... read full review »

Careful with the directions!

Overall, this is a really good product and fairly easy to assemble. Lots of little screws and bolts but no big deal. Just be careful to read directions.....and read ahead 2-3 pages. Some of the directions become much more clear two to three pages AFTER you needed them since some detail that you should have known earlier doesn't get revealed until later. I've assembled 4-5 of these over the past 3 years, for my own use as well as for friends or relatives and ALL of them have the same issues with the directions. Aside from that, it's an excellent product and serves its' purpose very well.

4 stars

It took me and my sons 13 hours to put this together, but it did go together mostly as described. The instructions are good. I'm hopeful that longevity will be decent. The shed did leak in a few places, but we've patched that with silicone. It should be okay. Decent value for the money. If you want the advantages of a solid wood shed, you'll have to spend a lot more money than this. If you want a simple yard building, this seems good.

Difficult... 100%

This product was a horror! This was an all day project for 2 days in a row. The instructions weren't the best or very well thought out, the wind would knock the building around during setup, it was just a difficult project all the way around. This product is made only for that person who LOVES a CHALLENGE.

Easy assembly, good price

We bought this shed in April '07. We purchased the shed to hold garden tools and my husbands work tools. I will admit that the flimsy metal panels did not impress me when I opened the box, but once they are up and the cross-bracing is in place, it is actually a pretty sturdy shed. It will ding and dent if your kids throw the ball up against it, but otherwise it is an economical alternative to a permanent structure. We are in Florida so we don't have to deal with snow, but I saw on the Arrow website there is a roof kit for snow for those who live up North. The shed went up easily, and in less than... read full review »
