I bought my first audio book several years ago and was very happy with it. As if my commute wasn't long enough, I would either ride around the block or sit in my car to finish the chapter I was on. I love to read but sometimes it gets difficult to fit it in, and when you fall asleep after about 5 pages, it gets hard to really get into the book you are reading. So will audio books ever replace my reading, absolutely not, but they definitely make driving more entertaining.
I have long been a road warrior and so have been listening to audiobooks for years. Cracker Barrel was my introduction to this medium of "reading". They still have a great deal on their audio books. You pay full price for the "book", but you can bring them back and get a refund less the weekly charge. It used to be $3/week, but it's been it's been a few years since I was last there so it could be more.
