Get the right one!

Oh my. There are two types of Avent bottles. The older style did NOT have the plastic ring in them. DO NOT buy this one!! The goldish plastic one was way to hard to get the nipple seated properly. It would leak like crazy. Most of the time all over everything!! This is the ONLY bottle my daughter will...

I was expecting the Avent bottles to be superb having been designed by a physician.   My daughter absolutely refuses to use these bottles.  It seems they are always leaking around the cap or nipple.  They are made of plastic, but act more like glass against every day wear & tear.  They might not... read full review »

no bubbles!!

My 4 month old was having a lot of air in her old bottles.  Since we changed to these, she has no bubbles!  These really work.  I wasn't sure if they would be easy to clean, but they are.  They are a little expensive- but all bottles are these days.  I would recomend them to anyone who has a baby sucking in air bubbles with another brand.

Not as impressive

Their nipples for some reason are hard for our baby to use to suck milk out. I don't like much of their design

I really appreciate these avent bottles for being bpa free. These bottles have an anti colic valve that helped reduce spit up for my baby. I had tried the Gerber Nuk bottles but my baby did not like the nipple. I was surprised because the Nuk bottle nipple looked like my nipple after I breastfed my baby. I had a difficult time breastfeeding my baby because my milk still did not come in enough. So I supplemented with formula and then exclusively used formula only. So I needed alot of bottles. These bottles were on the pricey side. You should strilize them before the first use. I wash the bottles...

Consistently great bottles.

I have used the Avent bottles for years. As a former foster parent, I was experienced with delayed babies who had very wear sucking strength. These were the only bottles they could take.

Now that I have a child of my own, I have started using the Avent bottles again. My son was exclusively breastfed until he was 6 months old and refused any other bottle.

The only drawback to Avent is the extra care that must be taken when screwing on the lid/nipple. These bottles are very prone to leaking.

Wonderful product

I have used the Avent bottles with both of y kids and I loved them.  I am pregnant with number 3 and plan on using the Avent bottles again.  They never had problems with gas and I think it was the bottle and the shape of the nipple.  I also like that the nipple comes in diferent low rates for the baby as it grows.  I highly reccommend these bottles.  They were great!!

I tried for 4 months to get by daughter to take a bottle (AAAAGGGHHHH!!!). Finally, I tried the Avent brand, and it worked! I will be forever grateful to Avent. Now, at 11 months, she is addicted to the bottle, when before she DESPISED it.

After much first-time-mom research, I decided Avent would be our way to go for bottle feeding. I purchased & registered for every size bottle, every size nipple, and every Avent accessory there was. I got the sterilizer, bottle/food warmer & paci's.

It was a WONDERFUL day when we discovered my daughter wanted nothing to do with these bottles/nipples and it was my husband off to the store at 11pm! Luckily, our next choice was the right choice. It was until my daughter hit 9 months that she stopped caring what it came in, but that she was getting it, and we were able to bring all those bottles back...

The Avent baby bottles have out lasted the others that were bought at the same time.  They could hold more and the nipples did not go bad.  They have a wider opening making them easier to clean.  They also do not have the grooves on the inside that milk can get stuck in.  This makes them more sanitary.  I also liked the fact that my baby preferred them and didn't get gassy from them.  These are the perfect bottle for the practicle parents.

This is a great bottle with lots of versatility. It attaches to the Isis Manual breast pump and storage containers, transforms into a sippy cup with handles and seems to please baby with the nipple contour. They can be used for the very small newborn till your child is big enough to use as a sippy cup. My only problem with these bottles is that they leak. Unless you perfect the art of tightening the lid just right, they leak all over. I've dumped the contents of many bottles all over myself and my children. After 2 kids and thousands of breastmilk and formula bottles, I still haven't perfected...

I received my first Avent baby bottle with my gift package from registering at babies r us and I was given several more when I had my baby shower.  I have had previous experience with Playtex Ventair when my sister had her children and they used to leak, but I never have any issues with the avent bottles.  They are great because you can put them through just about anything and they are very hard to break.   The nipples for them can be replaced as your baby gets older to have more flow of the milk or formula.   I am a breastfeeding mother and I had to return to work after 6 weeks and my son... read full review »

The Avent bottles are very convenient to use.  I've been using them since the birth of my second son, even when I was breastfeeding.  I wish the hospital would have these.  If so, my first son would have used them too.  They are so easy to clean and because of the wider opening, it's easier to pour formula into it.  The only drawback to these is that Wal-Mart does not carry them.  I'm a big Wal-Mart shopper and I don't live in a large town.  I have to drive 45 miles to get them at Target and I just realized that Sears carries them as well.  So, if you are in a bigger town with either of... read full review »
