I have trouble getting a "let down" with other pumps. I am on my fourth baby, and the ISIS is the BEST manual pump. Once my milk flows, I am able to fill a bottle in less than 15 minutes. UNBELIEVABLE. I take it with me EVERYWHERE...I now own three of them. I can pump in the car if we are traveling and feed the baby once she awakes. CONVENIENT, affordable and WORTH it. I love AVENT products because they are all interchangable. GREAT PUMP
I have successfully used the Isis pump for all three of my children. After fumbling with many other pumps, including electric, I was elated to find that the Isis was comfortable and it worked!
This particular package comes in handy when I have to be away from home during feeding time. I can quietly excuse myself to go pump, thus relieving me of discomfort from being overly full, and I have a way to safely store the milk until I get home. Once home, I then freeze it for the next time I have to be out during a feeding.

I would recommend that when purchasing a breast pump to always purchase one with a bag. It is not something that you can just throw into the baby's bag with everything else or your purse. It is handy for all the accessories and on days that you are going to be out for a long time or traveling.
In December 2004, my little boy was born. As much as I wanted to be a stay-at-home-mom, the cost of living in our home state, Hawaii, just wouldn't allow it. So I knew I had to return to my job once my three months of maternity leave was up.
I understood that breastfeeding was the best choice I could give my baby, and I didn't want to switch to formula just because I was returning to work. Breastfeeding was a commitment that I had to make, and that's why I started shopping around for a breast pump that would allow the breastfeeding to continue.

This pump worked so well. The handle on it is smooth and fits well to your hand. I always felt better using a handheld so I had the control over what was happening. I was able to pump a lot of milk and store it using the avent storage cups and bags. I reccommend this pump to all of my friends.
The Isis pump is an excellent choice for occassional use. If you need to store mass quantiites of milk or pump more than a couple times a week, this is NOT your pump. However, if you want a night out or a trip to the grocery store this pump is great. The soft shell liner is easy on the breast and helps to stimulate let down. Use is easy and totally controlled by you, not a machine. Clean up is easy, but I don't recommend the dishwasher for soft parts.
