LockedPurchase and Delivery never happened

My co-worker purchased a crib for me as a gift for the baby shower thru sears of course. it was perfect it matched my daughter's headboard of her bed. they said it would take 25-27 days for me to get it. That was fine except that didnt happen. We waited 30 days and then called no one could help us. So we went to the store they never recieved the crib and we all found out it was on back-order. How do you need a month to get something and thenm find out its on backorder!!!!! We got a refund. and went to babies r us and purchased a crib similar to that one and even spent $50 more (Carter's) for a lifetime one and got it in 3 days!  That's what i call service. Plus we were not even compensated for our time or embarrassment of telling eveyone at the shower she bought a crib that was on backorder for 30 freakin days! Wake up sears. Won't buy anything else from you.

Feel better?

Almost anything can occasionally be on back-order...

I am sorry to hear about this experience. While its true products can be back ordered or out of stock, its frustrating when you don't receive good communication about the situation. This is a learning opportunity and I do appreciate you sharing your feedback.

no shes right, the way sears orders products is very frustrating , i understand having stuff in stock is expensive and not the way sears works but it does have its down sides

I used to work at sears and almost anything big you want is on backorder. It was frustrating for me because I missed out on a lot of commissions on things people were going to order and couldnt unless they wanted to wait. Wouldnt purchase any big products from Sears online... go into the store and see what is in stock.

One item said it wouldn't be available in the store for 21 to 24 days.

Two of them came, two days later on the truck.

Sometimes, good things do happen in the inventory supply chain.
