LockedWonderKids Clothing Line is a Winner

I can't say enough great things about the WonderKids line of children's clothing at K-Mart. 100% cotton, reasonably priced, and outstanding quality. I have two boys, and it is nice to expect clothes to hold up as hand-me-downs. Well, forget Carters, they're shot after one child, but the Wonderkids holds up as well as Gap, Lands End, and LL Bean, and I love that I can get matching shirts or sweaters in their sizes for family events, pictures, etc. That brand alone gets me returning to the store each season. The boys clothes are also nice and respectable -- not all sports themed or wisecracking sayings. Many are dress-up quailty, and "churchable".

I've posted elswhere the downside of Kmart's shopping experience, but Kmart offers A FAR better selection than Target for little boys, great, soft, cotton quality, and outstanding durabilty.

I live in a pretty yuppie area, and many mom-friends don't "do" Kmart for all the wrong reasons. When they complement me on how well dressed my boys always are, assuming I'm spending a fortune, I have to chuckle.

I've never seen it anywhere else, so I'm guessing it is a house brand. Keep it up. It keeps me coming into your store time and again.

That's great to hear! I love finding a good bargain - especially if the merchandise is the quality I'm looking for, too. My kids are a little older so they wouldn't fit into these sizes but I remember feeling burned if I spent too much on something mediocre for them to wear. The styles in the WonderKids line are very cute!

I agree also about the Wonderkids line at Kmart.  I have a 4-yr old little gilr and I love their jeans.  They wear really well and are made with the child in mind.  Most jenas at her age already have the snaps and zippers which makes going to the bathroom difficult for them if mom is not around.  I love that they make shirts to match most of their lines and in vibriant colors that she loves.  I actually compared their jean line to Arizona and their jeans lasted the entire fall season w/o needing replacements because of the knees worn.  I look forward to the fall line for 2009!!!  Thanks a million Kmart!!

I never had a problem until three days ago.  I purchased some socks for my 3 month old son.  The package said 0-12 months.  My mother put them on him in the morning and about an hour later noticed he was really fussy couldn't figure out the problem until I gave him a bath and removed the socks.  The elastic used was horrible and was cutting off his circulation, hia foot was severely swollen.  My child was premature so not very big the mark is still around his leg from it I am looking for the corporate number to call.  Please do not purchase the Baby Casual Crew Socks!

I am sorry the socks didn't work out. I would contact Sears Cares. We just love the Small wonders, and for Josephine it is important to us to have some modest clothes for her to wear. We do thrift shopping once in a while but I hate the idea of raising a child on just second hand clothes. We buy several new outfits, things that go well together, and always, always check your KMArt clearance.

You can buy the out of season clothes a couple sizes up for pennies and stick them in the closet. Your kids could have new clothes ALL the time for a fraction of the cost at KMart.

I agree on Wonderkids clothing line. I was so happy when I found this line at Kmart a few years back. Good quality at bargain price.

I recently moved to Houston,TX from St. Louis, and found out there are no Kmart in Houston!!! :(  (at least the Store locater don't give me any). Where do I go for reosanable kids clothes? Do Sears here carry WonderKids line? Thanks.

No, mrsjc, Wonderkids are not sold through Sears.  So sorry, as, it is a great line of clothing!  Sears does sell the Toughskin brand, which is also pretty durable and reasonably priced, as well.

You can always order your Wonderkids clothes through Kmart.com, too!

As a grandmother of 3 toddler/babies, I am usually very happy with this brand until Christmas.  I purchased a beautiful red jacket for my active 3 year old grandson. His mom felt something hard sewn in the lining and lo and behold discovered a pair of seamtress shears which were extremely sharp in the hem of the jacket. This could have been tragic if he had fallen on them.

Can anyone tell me how the Wonderkids clothing compares in size to other brands? I'm trying to order some clothes for my daughter who is almost 10mths old, but she's a big 10mth old.

I purchased many Wonderkids items this past May for my daughters summer wardrobe.  I was happy about price, but soon dissapointed on quality.  Sizing runs funny it seems.  My daughter is tall, thin and proportionate for her age.  In a 2T, tops seem tight in the chest and pants are big.  Also, the quality is less than acceptible.  Shirts with floral appliques come out of the dryer such a mess they HAVE to be ironed following every wash.  I've never ironed anything accept for formal dresses for my 19 month old before this brand.  Worst of all, one of the outfits I purchased fell apart in the wash before wearing.  White capris with red velvet trim...in the first wash pre-wear, red trim came undone at seams.  I spent two hours sewing it because I don't have  a sewing machine.  She wore them once, and in the second wash, the red bled all over the white even when washing on cold.  Very unhappy.  No point in cheap clothes if they don't even hold up in the wash. Will not buy this brand ever again.
