Did you purchase your battery at a Sears Auto Center? If so, the location you bought it at may still have your purchase on file. If they do, get it. In the future, be sure to keep your receipts, as they are the only real means of exercising the warranty on the batteries.

Is your battery a DieHard Gold or a DieHard WeatherHandler?

After the full replacement period is over, there is a period during which a percentage of the battery's cost will be covered by the warranty. The later in the warranty you go, the less it's covered. For instance, the DieHard Gold have a 100 month pro-rated period. So, during the first month after the full replacement period, 99% of the replacement cost is covered. During month 2, 98% is covered, and so on.

This information is incorrect.  On a DieHard Gold battery it has a 36 month free replacement with a 64 month pro-rate period for a total of 100 months.  On month 37 (the first month that you have to pay when the battery is exchanged) only 63% of the battery is covered.  Each month after the amount covered is reduced by 1%.  (Month 38, only 62% is covered, and so on.)  Also when you have a battery replaced under the free replacement period, the warranty doesn't start over.  The free replacement period will be based upon the purchase of the first battery.  However, when you do have to pay any amount for the replacement battery, the warranty will start over.

Is the warranty on a Sears DieHard Gold battery, purchased in the USA, covered at a Sears store in Canada?  I have moved from California to Canada and my battery is failing.

Can I bring my Diehard Gold battery back for store credit if it fail between 64 - 100 month?  Do I need to get another Sears' battery to get the credit?
