I was looking for discussions on gas ranges as I need to get a new one when I saw your question on Mineral Make up. I have to tell you my story/experience with Bare Minerals.
I too have the T-zone problem. I also have olive skin which becomes blotchy & dull in the winter. For over 20yrs I've been looking for makeup that matches my skin tone without much success until I found Bare Minerals. I bought the product directly from their 800#. When it arrived I immediately tried it & LOVED IT!!!!! It was easy to use, the color matched my skin unlike any other product before. It evened out my skin tone, it lasted all day, made my pores look very small (if none existant), reduced my T-zone oily problem & made my skin looked flawless and I'm talking "make up artist" flawless. Everyone at work all of the sudden starting asking how come my skin looked so good, radiant & flawless all in one!
A week after I started using Bare Minerals I ended up in the emergency room with what I thought was a brain tumor (I can laugh now) but instead was an allergic reaction which looked like an egg size bump on my forehead above my right eye. Turns out I was/am allergic to one of the ingredients in Mineral makeup. Bare Minerals was the only new product I had used on my face in about 2yrs so I immediately stopped using it & the bump went away. Bare Minerals took the product back (I only got to use it for about 10 days) & refunded me the full amount minus shipping & handling. After all said & done, I have to say that Bare Minerals was the most awesome makeup I had ever used and my only regret is that I was allergic to it and that I can't use it. The reaction I had is probably absolete but I've yet to find anything that matches my tone so beautifully and made my skin look so perfectly flawless & radiant.
I did a little researched after my weird allergic reaction and turns out many women are allergic to mica which is a common ingredient used in all make up (mineral or not). I use Estee Lauder, Clinique, Guerlain, Mary Kay, Lancome & Revlon products which all contain mica but yet I've never experience an allergic reaction to any of these products or product lines. Mineral makeup ingredients (which is all mostly in powder form) are grinded so fine the particles are just about microscopic. This fine milled powder is better absorbed by our pores to provide the long lasting wear, the great coverage & flawless finish. It seems my skin just absorbed it too well & it reacted the way it did. This reaction happened two years ago & I'm sure they are even better mineral products out there which eventually I might try again in the future.
I know reading this probably doesn't help you but like I said I must be the only person I know that had such a reaction to Bare Minerals. If you do try it and it works out for you I will be very very very very jealous & envious of you ;-) LVC
