I know what you mean. Soap just doesn't cut it, though you'd think it would.

Well there's pretty cheap to pretty expensive and everything in between. On the cheap end, Vaseline or cold cream are gentle and work well. On the expensive side, there are high end department store brands that work well too. In between, I'll bet there are a number of products by Maybelline, Oil of Olay, etc. that work just as well.

Let us know what you try! Save those lashes!

I highly recommend either the Almay or Neutrogena waterproof makeup remover pads.  The Neutrogena ones are a little bigger (and thicker), so I usually cut them in half to get the most use out of them.  They run about $4 to $6 for somewhere around 100 pads, and they don't leave any oily residue.

I personally prefer to use the makeup remover cleansers.  Pour some out onto cotton balls or tissue, wipe and remove.  That way, you can use only as much as you need (versus having to cut makeup remover pads up, or wasting extra remover fluid).  I've done well with Clean & Clear.
