LockedSears is bringing back full service cosmetic counters!

Sears is planning on rolling out new full service cosmetic counters at individual Sears stores and expanding in the next couple of years.  Great lines, too:  Burt's Bees, Loreal, and Cover Girl to name just a few.  Here is an article discussing this fantastic change:

Hey, ladies!  Where do you normally purchase your make-up?  Department store?  Drugstore?  Online?

Do you suppose the discount will apply?  And do they know which stores? Just Grands? I hope not.

Right now, they are only opening the counters in 13 stores, as a pilot program.  You won't be happy with this one, StaceyW-in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.  BUT, the plan is to expand to 400 stores by 2012.

I don't normally wear makeup (as I break out frequently)...but I do enjoy shopping for beauty products. This is pretty cool news, Im always excited when we get anything new. I hope its successful!

Normally, I pick through the clearance shelves for makeup at drugstores

I remember back when I was a kid the cosmetics counters at Sears.  Rivaled Dillards, JC Penney and everyone else.

Alright! They gonna have those people "squirt'n" Customers with perfume?

And, does anyone know what "Men's Cologne" at Sears is?

We gave out coupons for it, for about two weeks running.

I seldom make it "upstairs", unless I'm going to the food court - via Sears.

That would be a great job for you Adam! They could have you dress up all in flannel with a tool belt and stand in the main aisle.  "Essesnce of wrench sir?" *sqirt* :P

That's simple. WD-40 cologne...

Used to "wear" it all the time, when I rebuilt the store's ratchets.

You think if we make enough of a big deal about this in here it will add to the success rate?

well least that might improve the smell in the store on  hot days when the ac is out

also stacey where did you get a candle that smells like fresh cut grass and does it really smell that close?

Yankee Candle Company (from Vermont, where the good stuff comes from) They have alot of scents you wouldnt expect.  One of my favorites is Country Lodge. it smells like the way a backboods cabin might smell like pipe smoke.  Its nice.

It's freaky how close it comes.  Close your eyes and you feel like your acually cutting the grass :P  I also recommend the Fresh Linen.  Clean laundry anyone?
