I purchased this item for my mom at Christmas and when we tried it out I just had to have one for myself. It's lightweight, quiet "especially my husband works night shift" and very affordable. I believe every house hold should have one. I like it more than I do my vacuum cleaner, don't have to worry about a cord ever. Nor batteries, it's ready for use and very simple.......

This sweeper is great for quick, everyday, clean-ups and I appreciate the fact that it is environmentally friendly. I have used it on carpets and vinyl floors and it works well on either type of flooring. It is handy and simple to use.

The Bissell Dual Brush Sweeper is a bargain. It embraces the mantra of KISS - keep it simple stupid. The sweeper requires no electrical or batteries meaning there really is nothing to go wrong down the road. As long as the user can walk and move their arm, the Bissell Sweeper does the job.

I've used the sweeper on short carpet and tile floors with excellent results on both. The dirt bins are simple to open, empty and your back at cleaning. It's excellent for quick touch ups without having to pull out an electric vacuum and move the electrical cord around as you clean the house. Strongly endorse the Bissell Natural Sweep.

I got a Bissell Carpet Sweeper as a wedding gift, and since the young couple try to do things as green as possible, this was a natural. The piece is a classic. I've had one as long as I can remember, and use it nearly all the time, vaccuuming only when truly necessary. It uses no electricity and you get a little exercise using it--WIN/WIN/WIN all around.

In these times I am truly surprised that the Bissell sweeper has not enjoyed a renaissance of popularity. It is the perfect house appliance for these times.

This little sweeper harks back to the best of pre-electrical floor cleaning devices - the manual carpet sweeper, found in every home prior to 1960.

Who wants to haul out and set up a power vacuum cleaner with the requisite tool for picking up a few corn flakes spilled on the kitchen floor, or when you want to give the hardwood in the entryway a quick once-over, or when a few snack crumbs have landed on the rug next to the easy chair? Not me. I simply reach for the Bissell - pretty much THE NAME in carpet sweepers for longer than I've been around - and make quick work of those pesky spills!

I purchased this for our living room carpet, which is an oriental carpet. Our standard vaccum was too low and too stong for every day cleaning. This is perfect, picks up everything without damaginf the carpet.

I bought this sweeper to pick up dog hair on a tile floor. Works so so, but the handle keeps coming apart. Cheaply made. I wouldn't recommend this product.

I wanted something that would work on tile floors and rugs. This sweeper is great on both. I have two hairy dogs that track in leaves, sand, and grass clippings. My little electric sweeper was never charged when I needed it or wouldn't hold a charge and didn't pick up very well anyway. The big vacumn is a pain and doesn't work well on tile. The broom would send grass, hair and dust bunnies sailing across the slick tile so I had to chase everything around with the dust pan.

This little sweeper is the answer! I'm amazed every time I use it, which is usually twice a day because it only take a few minutes. The amount of hair in the bin always surprises me when I empty it. And the biggest surpise is that it picks up fine sand off the tile, not to mention the larger debis. The rugs look like they've been vacumned.

No batteries, no cords. This sweeper is always ready to go. It's fast, easy to use and easy to empty. I followed the directions when I put it together and...

i bought this carpet sweeper because i use to own one 25 years ago and i know that they work. but not now the handle keeps comming apart and i did everything to make the handle stay on. This sweeper has no use for me. Dont waste your money.

I bought Bissel because it has been a name in carpet sweepers for so many years. This sweeper did pick up well, almost looked like a vacuum had been run over the carpet. HOWEVER, the two piece handle keeps separating during use, no matter how hard I tried to fit it securely as per instructions. Also, the instructions for use were not complete and when opening the trap to empty one of the sides the spring sprung and i could not replace it, rendering the sweeper only half usable. This happened after only 2 uses....
