i purchased the Bissell Powerforce vacuum because a friend owned one for years and recommended it highly. i also used it on her area rugs and floors. the price was very reasonable for the product which also has a tube and nozzle for crevices. my apt does have low plush carpet, and the Powerforce has plenty of power for this type of carpet. It is light and easy to use. the features are also easy to use. based on my needs and experiences, i would highly recommend this due to the very reasonable price. i especially like the bagless feature which is readily accessible for easy removal...

I have had this little vacuum (Bissell Powerforce)for three years and it was less than fifty bucks at *******! It has pretty good suction power and removable filters. If you are looking for cheap and effective, I highly recommend it! This baby picks up everything as long as you don't abuse it. Everything comes apart very easily for cleaning filters and the tank is removable so you can clean it. It sucks up dust, allergens, and everything else all in one fell swoop! This is probably the best deal I have gotten in quite some time. I highly suggest purchasing this product if you want...
read full review »I own a Rainbow which is not a practical everyday type of vaccuum when you just want to run it really quick so I bought the Bissell for everday type cleaning. It is ok, but not something that I would want to depend on all the time for real deep cleaning. I just installed brand new Gerber carpet and ran the Bissell and the beater brushes (which I cannot turn off on this brand) grabbed my carpet and ruined it in one room, so now I only use this vaccuum for area rugs. All in all, ok for the price, but not if it is the only vaccuum that you are going to own.
This is a waste of money. It worked well at first. Then it started to smell sour and the filters are not cheap! I am dissappointed and currently looking into a better machine for my family. Our simplicty vacuum lasted over 10 years- for the same money! I guess I learned my lesson. Bissell dissappoints. No quality here.
We have 2 dogs - a labrador and a flat coat retriever!! I dont need to tell dog owners what that means to your weekly cleaning schedule!!
I think this product works great for the price - i have some friends who would spend over $300 for a dyson and i dont know why - this vacuum works just fine. Everytime I clean it picks up all the dog hairs and more - its easy to clean and light weight. So i dont mind vacuuming every week because the whole deal is done in a couple of minutes (excluding the furniture - which my wife does)
