I normally avoid mowing the lawn, so my grass can get a bit high before I use the lawn mower.  It doesn't have too much problem, as long as it's not too dense.  It can't deal with weeds that are too thick or woody.  It took me awhile to get used to using it, especially with figuring out how to deal...

The wheels wobble. The cutting height adjustment is set by a metal rod cutting inton plastic stops which go out of adjustment readily. The machine looks like a Black & Decker 575 but it is not. The plastic is poorer quality and thecatch bag is an option. I tried to use it but it was not acceptable. I... read full review »

Black & Decker 18 In. Electric Mulching Mower Reviews

I have purchased 3 of these since 1989.  They last a long time and suit the smaller residential lot.  The unit is light and easy to navigate on all types of terrain.

We purchased the Black & Decker corded mower to replace our 3-year-old Neuton electric cordless mower. The Neuton wore out (and their customer service isn't so great) and we liked the idea of another electric, but with more power. The corded option seemed the best way to go. So far so good. Easy to assemble, cuts well and it's light and maneuverable. We got this one on sale, plus an add'l 5% "midnight madness" discount and a Sears gift card from our Discover card saved us more than half off. Clipping coupons works, folks--and we got a great mower in the bargain.

I love this mower. Took away all the pain and fumes of my old gas powered mower. Didn't know why I make this switch sooner.

I recently bought this mower and have only had the opportunity to use it once, but I loved it.  It's spring, the rain keeps coming and the grass keeps growing faster than we can cut it.  On top of that, we have a septic tank and you know what they say.. the grass is always greener over the spetic tank.  Well, it's true, greener, thicker, stronger, and longer.  Since I moved into this house I've always struggled mowing over the septic tank area.  No matter how often I mowed, how high I put the blades, or how quickly I tried to lift the front of the mower when I heard it struggling with my gas...

I recently bought a Black and Decker corded mulch mower.  It was super easy to put together-no tools required!  It has a great adjustable height feature that lets me mow the grass in the middle of my stone driveway, high enough to avoid the rocks.

My favorite feature is the smooth underside-much easier to clean than my previous mower.

The only complaints I would have is that the cord wrap on the right doesn't allow me to pull the extension cord with my left hand so I can turn around when I am mowing.  Also, the side shooget falls off easily.

Black & Decker 18 in. Deck Side-Discharge Electric Mower, Corded, 9 amp — I bought one of these B&D Mod. MM275 electric mowers 6 or 7 years ago, it quit yesterday. I checked to see if I could get it fixed, Sears told me a new motor cost $ 142.00 and a new mower was $ 189.99 so I got a new one. If you decide to get one of these make sure you get the 9 amp model as it will cut almost anything you push it thru. B&D makes a 6.5 amp, I don't think I would get one unless I had a well manicured lawn. I don't mind working with the electric cord, I just start out and mow away from the cord that way it...

I bought this as a Christmas present for my grandmother. Her old gas lawn mower broke, so I did some research online for a good but low price lawn mower for her. That's how I discovered this B&D Electric Lawn Mower. I never knew there were any other types of lawn mowers beside the gas lawn mowers and the sitting-type lawn mowers. I was a little hesistant in getting it since I was new to electric lawn mowers and wasn't sure if it'll be any good as compared to gas lawn mowers. After researching around and reading what other reviewers had to say from their experience, I decided to buy it and try....

Guess what I got this past Father's Day?  Hint:  Much better than a tie!!!  I've taken over the lawn mowing duties since both of us became "unemployment statistics" and this B&D mower has "done the job" for me, extremely efficient for the size of our lawn area, very clean and relatively quiet, easy to operate and use in our slightly sloped yard.

Will not be disappointed w/ this!

Have been struggling with my sloped yard grass cutting. My grass was really high. This electric mower left no signs of mulched grass left! The mower never stalled, like my gas mower,(May he rest in peace.)and is so light to handle! I love it! Cant wait to cut my grass again and am definitely SOLD on this one!

Awesome Mower

I bought this mower for my husband. Our local energy company had a rebate set up for this mower. I went in, bought the last one on the floor and took it home. Within minutes it was put together. I then decided I would give it it's inaugural run. I am AMAZED. I have a heart condition that limits the amount of time I can be out in the heat or any strenuous activity. I had my front and back lawn mowed within 45 minutes...all the while watching a toddler! It was so quiet, I could hear my son playing with his toys. The cord wasn't even an issue. There was almost no perceptible vibration, which aggravates... read full review »

Excellent Value

I picked up the last one of these in about a 50-mile radius this afternoon. It took 5 minutes to put together and required no tools. I have neglected my yard this spring, so the weeds were 3 feet tall in spots and very thick. This thing PLOWED right through them and didn't leave any clumps. I had the 12-amp rear-bag Black and Decker at my last house - I used it for two summers without one problem and, as far as I know, the guy who bought my house is still using it a year later. You do have to be careful of the cord, but you soon get used to that. You just have to plan your mowing pattern out ahead... read full review »

This mower is ideal for those with smaller lawns; no gas, no tune-ups, no fuss. Choose to rake the clippings, or do as I do, mulch right back into the lawn. Easy one-control blade height adjustment allows for gradually cutting more or less as the season changes. Good value.

Takes a 2 Pronged cord

I'm a 57 year old woman who decided to save some money by mowing my own lawn and get some exercise in the process. Putting the lawn mower together was a little difficult, because of the misleading wording. Even though it said it didn't require tools, I ended up having to use a screw driver to push in the shrouds, which is a weird word for a plastic covers. Once the mower was together I realized that the electric require a TWO prong cord and won't take a three prong, which is the current standard, extension cord. I ended up having to go buy the only TWO Prong cord I could find, which was only 12... read full review »
