My last Black & Decker iron finally bit the dust. It lasted along time, so no regrets. So I began my search for a new iron that had the features I wanted: steam, burst of steam, spray, automatic shut-off and visible water level. I couldn't find one for a reasonable price: $40 for an iron, I don't think... read full review »

I agree with Conscious Buyer. I bought this iron early last year (2010) and the iron got way too hot. And, as with other reviewers, the water splashes out of the top of the iron and water leaks from the back of the iron. And, the iron also stuck to one of my shirts and I couldn't get the residue off... read full review »

Great price, great buy.

We are very happy with this iron. It works great and you can't beat the value price.

This is my first iron and I was so glad to finally read the reviews online and realize that ironing is really not this horrible! As other reviewers have mentioned, this iron splashes water all over your fabric, sticks to fabric, does not remove wrinkles, the steam setting does not work properly. Today I plugged it in to use for the third time since I bought it and it stopped getting hot and was making a beeping noise. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and steam was coming out of it on the '0' (supposed to be off) setting, and water was spilling out of the bottom. This model is clearly defective...

Nice iron

Initially i got this iron but the spray button was not working. I got it replaced in the sears. Now its working fine.. I will buy all the home Electronics from Sears only. :)

leaks water, rough surface

I am returning this item. I was surprised (not in a good way) that Black and Decker made an inferior product. Most of my items have the Black and Decker name. This iron leaks water; does not glide smoothly over material; the water level is almost impossible to see behind the navy colored top; and I found the handle not to be erogonomically made.

I used my daughters Quick press to iron linens for Thanksgiving Table. Iron spits and sputtered . Iron is heavy when full of water. Iron did a nice job but iI like irons that are less heavy.

Works pretty good

This iron does its job and lasts a very long time. I have used one for over five years. I would definately reccommend this iron to anyone. Black and Decker is a great product at a great price. A drawback is that the metal part does collect build up easily.

I needed an inexpensive iron and, after a llittle research, decided on this Black and Decker Iron. I works better than I thought, specially the steam function that I use all the time being that I'm not a good ironer. With this iron I get my clothes looking decent with very little effort.
