Blackberry 8330 for Sprint offers great Performance.

Very Happy with the phone as a former Nextel Customer.

It tooks some getting used to after the 8703.  The trackball was a big adjustment but I like the new functionality (camera, voice dialing, gps, etc).  Maps could be better though.  I often hit two letters at the same time because of the smaller keys.

Better than the iPhone

I had been waiting on the iPhone 3G to come out since it was going to be cheaper and supposedly better than the original...  but after hearing the reviews and taking a hands on look, I realized that it wouldn't serve my needs.  I am a systems engineering consultant and always on the road, so I needed to be able to log in to customer systems on my laptop from anywhere.

Pro:  3G Tethering (using the phone as a wireless braodband modem) to my laptop.  Sure its not as fast as DSL or Cable, but in a pinch where there is no WiFi... or when it costs $10 per session like at ATL... it works great....

Blackberry is still the leader in smartphone devices. I love mine and will never switch to an entertainphone (ie. iphone)  The blackberry continues its OS and makes improvments with the video camera.  This device organizes my worklife and my social life.   there are more apps out there for the BB than most PPL think.  also the BB can be customized too.
