This french press works great. My wife is a children's pastor and the other pastors in the church had all purchased french presses so she wanted to be part of the group. I was skeptical since she can't make coffee in our percolator, so this press made me nervous, but she's gotten the hang of it and has enjoyed her coffee experience very much!
Using a coffee press is by far the best way to enjoy a cup of coffee. This press produces a smooth, clean tasting coffee and I couldn't imagine ever drinking coffee out of a standard coffee maker again if given the choice.
I've been using a bodum french press since I was in college rather than an electric model and have not jumped on the latest keurig or other craze -- though they have their advantages. The bodum french press is simple to use, makes great coffee and you can control your portions -- you can make a full "pot" or just enough for 1 or 2 cups. These coffee makers are affordable, don't take up a lot of counter space and do what they're supposed to do. It's best if you grind coffee beans a little rough for the french press (not too finely ground) for better flavor.
