I still haven't read "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert but I've heard it's great! Has anyone read it yet? I found it on the Sears.com website and I'm thinking about buying it. If you have read it, let me know what you think!

Thank you for asking, I love to read and am always looking for some good titles.  I am looking forward to reading The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch and World Without End by Ken Follett.

Please do not let this die out.  I really would like to know of some good reads.

I'm currently reading "Sepulchre" by Kate Moss.  Her first book, "Labyrinth" was wonderful!  This one is shaping up to be just as intriguing.

Courtney, I read that book while I was on a long flight last year and loved it. It put me in the right mood for 'smelling the roses' while on vacation with my family. I'd recommend reading it when you have some extended time to read and reflect on the great things in life (which is so incredibly busy these days!).

If you haven't already found a copy try Amazon.com.  It never ceases to amaze me what I can find there.  I am always finding "out of date" movies and books.  Also, I believe this is a tried and true that will probably be in the Christian bookstores as well as any of your larger bookstore chains (Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, etc.)  Sorry my reply is so late but I'm new to the discussion boards.

Amen to that!  I love my KJV and the Lord!  My preacher used to say, "A Proverbs a day, keeps the devil away."  I try to read my Bible daily and yes, a Proverbs too!  I am an avid note taker in church and I can get engrossed in a hymn book too :+)  Thanks for sharing!

I have read 'Eat, Pray, Love.' It's good, but I usually prefer historical fiction or books about Christianity. My favorite author of all time is C.S. Lewis.

I'm planning to read 'Come be my Light' by Mother Teresa when my friend is finished with it.

I usually dont read. I just throw smart looking books out on the coffee table when the ladies come over.

I'm looking to read "High Fidelity" by Nick Hornby, and I'm also looking into getting a few Raymond Chandler novels to check him out.

I'm currently reading two books at once which I rarely do.

I'm reading Two Little Girls: An Adoption Memoir" by Theresa Reid and Twilight by Stephenie Meyer; which I got for Christmas.  I recently fell in love with Jodi Picoult's novels and was given the following for Christmas so I will be reading them too:

  1. Picture Perfect
  2. Change of Heart (her latest)
  3. Second Glance
  4. Salem Falls

Along with these books I also purchased eight new books at the Giant Book Sale (check out my review) so those are also on my list of must-reads.

I would also suggest the Holy Bible. Each time I read through it, I learn something new. The words do not change I just understand more of what I am reading.
