This washer performs as advertised, but I do miss the heating element for drying. We have found that even with Jet Dry and the "opti-dry" feature turned on where the rinsing water is heated (there is a special programming function for this that you must perform when it gets plugged in, it isn't a button that you push), the glassware isn't completely dry when the cycle ends. In fact, after the cycle ends, it will still take another 3-4 hours for all of the water to evaporate.
That said, the washer does clean the dishes in all areas of all racks very well, and we haven't had any dishes come out...
read full review »We bought this dishwasher after much contemplation. Let me explain what I consider quiet because you do hear the dishwasher. What you don't hear the grinding noises you usually hear with other dishwasher, what you hear is the trickle of water. The dishwashers have no heating element like most other American brands so your dishes won't be dry when the cycle is complete. Dishes drip dry fairly quickly as long as your using a rinse aid they will be dry spot less. Bosch dishwashers are not made with food grinders so you do have to occasionally have to clean out the filter. If you considering a Bosch...
read full review »Have had this dishwasher for about a month. It cleans the dishes fine and does run very quietly. One thing I don't like is the arrangement of the tines in the trays. The upper and lower trays have tines that are very close together and make loading larger bowls and other odd shaped items very difficult. Doesn't seem to hold as much as the last dishwasher we had. Also, the door doesn't have a latch that you open by pressing a button or something, you just push and pull on the door to close and open it - feels a little flimsy, time will tell.
When it came time for a new dishwasher the salesman sold me a Bosch with a stainless interior. I'm in the new condo building business and I usually just buy an extra dishwasher from the wholesaler for my own use. This time I went to Sears and bought this Bosch.
First off it has no drying unit so the dishes drip dry. The salesman told us that it super heated the water on the rinse and the dishes dried from the super heated water temperature. Not so. It like the old days when you did the dishes in the sink. If you want the dishes and silverware dry you better use a towel.
The dishwasher...
read full review »We had 3 specific requirements 1) short wash, we always wash all the food off the dishes before putting them into a dishwasher, just habit, don't need a garbage disposal 2) don't want heat dry, we always wait till tomorrow to take the dishes out, we have always almost always propped the door open after the wash so the heater would not run on previous dishwashers anyway 3) had to be quiet, there are only a few more quiet than this one, but cost a lot more. (Opinon on 1) Short wash low water works, customer service said water should be at least 120 degrees F, there is an internal water...

My only complaint is the position of the tines in the lower level and the silverware tray. The tines on the lower level do no accomodate the bowls as it shows in the pictures, especially if you have children with plastics like I do. I couldn't find proper space for large sauce spoons as well. But as far as cleaning and sound....its top noch for the price considering the next model up has exactly the same racks as this one. It wis wisper quiet, when we first put it on we had to check...

I scanned reviews when I first purchased our new Bosch dishwasher and I don't know how it received such good reviews when I was looking. If I would have seen the reviews now, I definitely would not have purchased the Bosch. Like the other reviews say - believe them - it does not clean the dishes. I had a Fridigare Gallery for several years and my glasses always came out shiny and not cloudy or streaky. With my Fridigaire I never had a complaint my dishes came out clean, not with leftovers stuck to them. With the Bosch they never come out clean, glasses are now cloudy, the baskets are very small...
read full review »We upgraded to a "quiet" dishwasher when we renovated our kitchen. This model is quiet but it must be because it is not doing the job as the dishes are never clean. I have had to return to hand washing everything (which I hate to do).
Save yourself some time and frustration and go with a different manufacturer.
We purchased this Bosch diswasher from Sears about 6 months ago and we're very disappointed with it. It just doesn't clean dishes well. We often have grit left in cups and bowel and utensils that aren't clean. It's frustrating to re-wash items that didn't get cleaned the first time. Our old Whirpool dishwasher did a MUCH better job than this more expensive Bosch does. Another small problem is that the display lights stay on even after the cycle is complete --there should really only be one light on to signal the cycle is done, not the entire display.
The one plus is that it's VERY quiet. But the...
I have hated this dishwasher since day one. The ONLY reason that I still have it is because I was SO busy during the first 3 months of owning it that I never called Sears to come back and get it. When I finally called, it was too late to return it. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty. Basically there is NOTHING that I like about this dishwasher. The buttons are very difficult to use. It always take me 1-2 minutes to get it going. I push the start button and it just blinks. I open and close it and try again and it finally starts up. So annoying. It is extremely quiet. The rack is horrible....
