Awesome Dishwasher

I bought this dishwasher to replace my 2 1/2 year old Maytag. Going Stainless Steel and a friend recommended Bosch. I read reviews, did research and am so happy with this purchase! I love how it is so QUIET. I have an open floor plan and now I don't have to wait until I'm sleeping to run the dishwasher! Plus the various cycles are amazing! If I only have a few dishes, I can run the 1/2 cycle or quick wash. It uses very little water (I can't wait to see how little my water bill is next time) My dishes are dry when I open it up. There will be a few plastic ones that sometimes flip over during the... read full review »

Bought this unit a month ago. It replaced a GE Profile Triton dishwasher. The Bosch is as quite as the GE but it lacks a couple of things the GE had. The Bosch does not have a quick rinse cycle nor does it have the quick dry heating element the GE did. Although the Bosch is not as big inside, it is deeper ( I'm 6.3) and the bottom is 6 inches lower than the GE so you need to bend over more. The unit does remain on after running where as the GE did shut off but had a "completed cycle light" that comes on until you open the door the first time after the run cycle is complete. The bottom rack has... read full review »

Excellent Dishwasher

I have been very pleased with this dishwasher. Our kitchen and family room are connected which made our previous dishwasher a problem due to noise. This dishwasher is so quiet you have to listen to even be able to hear it. The cleaning is superior. It even gets my sons sippy cup lids clean. The dishes dry very well unless they are plastic as plastic doesn't retain heat. This is a negligible issue for me as I never liked using the electric dry on my old dishwasher anyway. The child lock on the controls is great when you have a curious little one around.

Quiet and clean

The dishwasher is so quiet that we really don't hear anything unless we pay special attention. We followed the instruction to use the powdered detergent, which we are skeptical because we used to use the gel form before. Dishes are very clean after the wash. We are very impressed.

I have had my new dishwasher now for one month and am very pleased with its performance. It is quite a bit smaller than my old dishwasher on the inside and I am not sure if this is because of insulation for noise reduction. The old dishwasher bit the dust when a leak burned out the motor, and with this washer's design that won't happen again. I have had very little issues with lack of drying because I don't use a lot of plastic, and the dishes have been very clean. It is so quiet!!!! I love it!

Great machine and easy install.

Bought this unit because of the reviews and it was on sale. It dries just fine even without the drying agent and is SUPER quiet. Save your money and install it yourself--it is easy as long as you have the right parts (make sure you get a long enough water line). The best part is the low energy and low water consumption features. Your utility bills will definitely be reduced.

Best dishwasher I have ever had

I bought this dishwasher in December 2008 and needed to wait before I gave an adequate review. I was going to get the consumer report recommended until I read the reviews. This dishwasher does what a dishwater is supposed to, it cleans. I never prewash. I bang the big stuff off the dishes and place dish in washer. It is quiet and efficient. Baked on casserole dishes even come out clean! I love the toprack feature of adjusting up/down for larger items on bottom. I suppose I need to come up with something bad so here we go. If I wait more than 3 days to run the washer it gets smelly.

We have a Bosch SHU3032xx dishwasher that was already installed when we bought the house in 2005 (house was built in 2002). This is the quietest dishwasher we've ever had. It scrubs the dishes very clean even if there is dried-on food stuck to them. No need to rinse dishes before loading them in this dishwasher; just scrape off any large pieces of food. The filter in the bottom of the washer handles the rest, and we never have to clean the filter. I think the filter "backflushes" itself to stay clean.

There's no hot-drying element in the bottom of the dishwasher. We usually just leave it closed...

Excellent Dishwasher

We replaced a Maytag that was less than 3 years old and had leaked and ruined the motor. The Maytag was always noisy and didn't do a good job cleaning. This unit is so much better. It is amazingly quiet. It is so nice to be able to watch TV without having to shut off the dishwasher. It gets all the dishes clean. Even dried on oatmeal, nacho cheese sauce, peanut butter, etc. We had to soak dishes like that before putting them in the Maytag if we wanted them clean. We have not had any problems with dishes not being dry. Sometimes a few plastic dishes may be a little wet, but at least they are clean.... read full review »

bosch dishwasher

I am very happy with my new Bosch dishwasher. I love that it is very quiet and it cleans my dishes perfectly. I had another Bosch at my last home that I picked out myself and I could not wait for this electrolux in my new home to die. We are a family of 6 and our dishwasher gets alot of use. I pack it full. I have always been pleased with the Bosch brand dishwasher and I like that it saves energy and does not use a heating element to dry. I have plastics also and my Bosch does a better job than my last dishwasher did at drying them and it had a heating element. It does leave a little water in the... read full review »

Is it running?

Wow... I did a lot of research before purchasing and I am so glad I made the choice I did! This dishwasher is so quiet you can bearly hear it running! My dishes are so much cleaner than with my old dishwasher... I always had to "pre-wash" them by hand... so I was very skeptical about putting them directly from table or stove into dishwasher without even a rinse... decided I would never know unless I tried... and it works great! It has been such fun... been looking for things to wash! I have no problem with the drying... if a little water has pooled on something it's just a swipe with the towel... read full review »

Wow! So quiet! Spotless!

We just ran our first load and couldn't believe how quiet it was. And how clean our dishes emerged! We have been plagued with repairs and NOISE for the past 6 years with a Kitchenaid dishwasher that finally died last week. It was full of dishes when it died and because we thought we would be buying a new one right away, never unloaded the dishes until tonight. Our first Bosch load had week old dried barbeque sauce, oatmeal and pancake syrup laden plates. I packed it as full as I could and kind of felt guilty making this the first "test". Every dish, glass, fork, was spotless! We couldnt' believe... read full review »

Overall Great Machine

Quiet and efficient, with far better cleaning than highly unsatisfactory Kenmore Elite Ultrawash which it replaced. Leaves no food residue, filter easy to clean and spray arm holes resist clogging. Rack design and silverware container more cumbersome than Kenmore, and could use small item basket. Plastic items water spot and do not dry well.
