I bought this exact unit from Pacific Sales in Woodland Hills, CA...upon installation it started making these horrible noises. It's supposed to be frost-free, but all the freezer drawers are covered in a thin layer of frost.
Tomorrow I have a Bosch technician coming over to check the unit. But even if he fixes the problem, a $2000.00 appliance should not be defective on its first day.
Maybe I just happen to buy a lemon, but in any case, I will not be buying another Bosch Appliance in my life.
By the way, I also have a Bosch Dishwasher (it doesnt dry).
I have owned this product for almost 2-1/2 years. I purchased it because of the expectation of a high quality from German engineering as a Bosch product. I don't think that the design is great. The door shelving has a trim piece that constantly comes loose which is minor nuisance. The flow rate of the water dispenser is very low. The biggest concern that I have is the durability of the item. A couple of months ago I found that the refrigerator was not cooling properly. Then the ice maker began leaking which indicated that the freezer was starting to fail. After having the unit off...
read full review »We loved this Bosch in our new kitchen. But after 6 months it just stopped working. We have had 5 repair reps come try to fix it and it still won't cool down. The freezer temp is 71 degrees and we haven't been able to put any food in it for 2 months. Finally, we are going to get a replacement.
