LockedWhat is the difference between a boys size 7 and a 7x?

My 6 yr old son currently wears a size 7 in jeans and I was wanting to know what the difference is between a regular size 7 and the size 7X that I see offered? I see these 7x jeans are offered as a 7x slim, and then a 7x regular so is it just extra length for the taller boy that is not quite ready for the size 8 jeans? Please let me know as I plan to purchase more today as he wears them out quick and I messed up this last time and bought them at Penneys instead of Sears when I KNEW I would be sorry about the wear out guarentee!! Thanks Rhonda

7x is sometimes more for a husky boy.  7 is for regualr size boys. But in some cases they seem to be for taller boys

7 slim is for skinny, 7 reg is for regular boys, and 7x is a regular fit with almost an extra inch of length.

Hi Rhonda,  Yes, the "X" (7X) is about the extra length. Makes them a little longer. My son wears size 7 pants and turned 8 in March. We have pretty good luck with the South Pole pants in length and after school he usually changes out of his school clothes before playing outside.   Julie from Cali.
