Calphalon One Nonstick 16-Piece set — 

Received these as a wedding gift 5 years ago and have never looked back. They withstood the "early years" of burned rice and grilled cheese and have stayed true as my culinary expertise expands. Easy clean up (though hand wash) with a rare scrub (when I get distracted and burn things as I still do sometimes!).

I'm not sure what the instructions permit, but I never put them in the dishwasher. Hand wash only.
