“Crisp, Clear, Colorful Pictures”

I recently went on a European trip with some friends. They bought cheaper models of digital cameras ... around $200. I was about to buy the Canon Powershot 8.0 MP for $200, but splurged on the 10.0 MP SD 790 IS for $250 because of the bigger LCD screen (not for the 10.0 MP; I thought that was overkill and 8.0 MP was sufficient). But the difference in quality between the pictures I took and those my friends took with their 7.0 and 8.0 MP cameras was intense! “great camera”

I had a Fuji for 6 years and loved it. It wasn't until it died that I was forced to buy a new one. I hate learning about new things so I was reluctant to buy this one but all the reviews on this site as well as others said it was a great camera. I was scared when I opened the box but after about 1 week of playing around I found it wasn't as scarry as I thought. I love that I can print directly from the camera to the printer without having to turn on the computer. I like the fact I can edit the pictures before I print them. “Great camera”

I bought this canon SD790 for my sister after recently bought a Panasonic Lumix T5Z. After comparing the picture quality, I would definitely recommend Canon SD790 over Panasonic T5Z. For a regular user, the canon is a truly point and shoot camera, compare to the T5Z, there are lots of options but it is difficult to get consistent good quality picture. Definitely go for the Conon SD790. The only downside of the SD790 is the relatively weak 3X zoom. A more powerful zoom would be nice for trips and vacations.

“Awesome”

This camera is awesome. The pictures and video are VERY VERY crisp. After hours of reading the manual and testing each option, I believe this camera is worth my money. I'm very satisfied.

“canon knows how to make them!”


I have owned a couple of canon powershots- this one, and the sd630. I absoulutely love these cameras! They have so many features and are very compact. It takes much clearer, crisp photos than my sisters brand new samsung dualview. I am always breaking electronics but my original powershot has lasted me so many years and still not outdated!
