I spent several weeks reviewing the REBEL XS vs it's many 10 MP adversaries, I even checked it against the ultra zooms as I wanted the convenience of video as well, but too many good things stood out with this camera and so I decided upon it. I bought the rebel XS and after days of dirt testing this camera I've found it a beautiful experience.

This is a perfect starter camera for someone looking to dive into the SLR world. Canon's lenses tend to be a little cheaper than Nikon's and the camera has a built in auto focus motor which is so nice to have when you want to upgrade to a fixed length lens. A great choice for someone wanting to learn the ropes.
This camera can do everything I need. I never thought I would own such a piece of equipment. This digital camera is the best on the market. The lense that comes with it can zoom but the optional lens I purchase is even better bringing everything close and sharp when zooming in.
The camera is very easy to understand and use after reading the instructions. The instruction booklet does a great job explaining everything about the camera. The automatic settings are amazing as well as manual using any setting I desire. The first few pictures taken have already been transferred to a laptop...

This camera is a great value, especially when bought as part of a package deal. It takes amazing pictures. No more blurry images of action shots. Great close up pictures.
We use this camera to take our own pictures of our baby. No need to go to a professional and pay the crazy fees. Ours look just as good with just a little staging. Or we can get great candids.
We frequently print out 8"x10" pictures and the quality is great.
This camera is amazing! I love it! It takes amazing pictures and is very easy to use right out of the box! Very user friendly, even for people like my parents who are not great with new tech. devices!
