read full review »For the price this little lens is great in low light situations and for portraits. Can be a little slow on the auto focus but it's not horrible also the focus can be soft at times. Other then that you'll get amazing photos from this lens. Being F/1.8 means it'll let in a lot of light. Especially since most lenses will only go as low as F/3.5. It's not bulky or hard to handle. I've even used this at sporting events in gyms and gotten crisp photos with the extra available light that this lens lets in. (however this shouldnt be your first choice for sports)
