This camera is very easy to use. It has a nice telephoto lens on it. Plus the images even when lens is 'fully extended' still look crisp.
The camera has a wide variety of settings allowing you to take photos in a wide range of lighting situations.
It is nice to have a camera that is powered by AA batteries. Does make the camera heavier than other small cameras, but then you don't have to worry about having to wait for camera battery to charge.
If you are into taking photos outside, remember to keep camera/batteries from extreme heat and especially cold. Cold will kill your batteries...

Excellent photos, nice definition, they are great even in the dark
This camera is a replacement for my smaller PS. Much easier to use with better quality zoom capabilities. A little disappointed that I could not use the same type of rechargable battery as with earlier PS's. Also, battery life is very low. But the ease of use was wonderful! I can't wait to try it out at my next concert. Got it on sale, so price was just right.
Canon has always been innovative, and the SX10IS is not let-down. The ability to shoot in multiple frames per second is a nice feature. The ability to use an external flash is great for those who want to get in more light. Also, the menus and button are fully customizable. You will never get tired of this camera; it can do so many things with all its functions, features, setting and accessories available.
Remember to load your SX10IS with a high-speed SDHC card, such as a SanDisk Ultra II, for faster read and write speeds, as well as saving battery life.
