we just got back from a Mexican cruise aboard the Carnival Elation. t was our first cruise and we were not disappointed. We were so pampered by everyone on the ship. It was a vacation of a lifetime. We are ready to go again. Fantastic food, entertainment, stateroom, ports of call, and service.

When we tried to get into our room upon first boarding the ship, our key would not open the room. After a few minutes contemplating the situation and trying to figure out why we couldn't open the door, a young couple opened the door. They were in our room. We asked how they got in there and they stated that one of the cruise ship staff let them in. We were furious! They had been rolling around in our bed, used our bathroom, and sampled the snacks in our room. We went to the help desk and let them know what had happened. You never have to leave the ship! It was great to dock the ports though and departing and entering the ship was made with ease. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My children had a great time with the O2 club for teens. They met alot of other teens so my husband and I barely saw them the whole trip! They can't wait to go agan and when I was going to choose another cruise line they said no only Carnival for them.
The food was excellent, but there was no place to dance except the loud, screaming music they play today. My friend & I were looking forward to sme ballroom dancing, but found none. Otherwise we were served well, but was glad when the seven days was over.
