My neighbors garage door remote can operate my garage door opener.  What can I do?

Go to managemyhome.com, post your questions and you'll get an answer from an expert who will tell you what to do.

In the meantime, you can have your neighbor's remotes be missing for a while... :) .  Of course, don't tell 'em!  :) .

It sounds like you and your neighbor have the exact same codes programmed into your garage door openers. With alot of the newer garage door openers using the Rolling Code technoligy, this is happening more often now especially in newer suburb areas and housing developments. You might wanna try and reprogram your wireless remote when you know your neighbor will not be home or using his garage door opener and have it reprogram a new code into your remote. You can do this by pressing the Learn or Program button on the actual unit itself and it will erase all codes in the unit and replace them with a new one. Hope this helps!
