“Missing parts”

I am a bit disenchanted with Sears to allow this garage door opener to be incomplete.  There were parts that should have been included to complete installation.  I had to return to ********** 3 times to get missing screws, then to get 2 metal hangers that were not included, and then another missing...

“no problems at all”

this was very easy to install...and it works great. i like the safety feature of the garage door stopping if item/person trips laser (we have small children) also like how if the garage is open and you walk in the overhead light automatically comes on. keypad is easy to use.

“Extremely quiet opener - worth your money and time!”

The opener was not available at the local store, but since I ordered it in the store, Sears shipped it to my home for free. This was the first time I had tackled a garage door opener project, and believe that it is definitely something a handy do-it-yourselfer can do (with patience... of course). The installation process was a bit lengthy, but the instruction book is comprehensive and walks you through every single step.  Product performance is amazing! “Best garage door opener”

After owning both screw and chain drives over the years, the belt drive is clearly a better product and makes this opener the best we have ever owned. For the first time ever, we cannot hear the garage door opening or closing inside the house. The whole system is a solid winner for anyone buying one and worth the price. The motion detector is a luxury I would not have originally purchased but has become a wonderful feature that is saving us money lighting our garage as well as providing the light without having to flip the switch. “Awesome”

Works & looks great, very quiet also. I tested the battery back-up & that works like it should. If the door weight is set properly (@10lbs) you should only need a 1/2HP unit. I wanted the belt drive, battery back-up and outside keyless entry. I replaced an existing chain drive so it bolted right up, no fuss. Well worth the money, had it delivered to the house! Enjoy!

“piece of cake”

Installed 2 new !0' wide x 8' high carraige doors - the opener I put on my wife's door went up great / no issue / and it works soooooo quiet. Now I need to get one for my door - maybe for our 43rd wedding anniversary. Would highly rate this product. We live 1/4 mile off the main road and experience power outages often - having that battery backup will be nice.

“3/4 HP Chamberlain Belt Drive Garage Door Opener performs well”

You won't go wrong with this opener. Programming the remotes and the blue tooth auto connection is fairly straight forward. A couple of gripes are with the open & close travel distance, and the motion detector turning the lights on, even in bright daylight.

In the first instance, analog limit switches would do the job, without the need of programming. In the second instance, a photo cell could inactivate the lights, when not needed.

It's quiet & powerful, and I love the battery back-up. One day, I'm really going to appreciate it.

“Does the job GREAT! ...but not at a long distance.”

I replaced with an older Chamberlin Chain drive with this Belt drive Chamberlin. I have to say WOW, its MUCH quieter than the chain drive! Easy to do, and only took about 2 hours to replace. I cant even hear it in the house now! But my only complain is that the old opener would open from about 500 ft feet away, and the new one in only about 100 feet away. Not too big of a deal, as from the time I approach, I hit the button, and pull past the driveway to back in.
