I bought two of this Chamberlain Door Opener PD752D for my garages, I just change it my old garage doors and install two new reinforce steel heavy doors and the PD752D lifted without a problem. Also is so quiet fully recommend.
Price, power, features - great package. I bought the Sears installation and was glad I did for several reasons:
1. My box had a small part missing but the installer had a bucket of extras right there.
2. It would have taken me much longer to read the manual than it did for him to install it.
3. Installer had good tips about maintenance and features that I would probably have missed.
Our garage door opener had died on us, and I researched all over to find a good name and quality product that would be able to handle raising and lowering our extra-wide, 2-car garage door. Ours is not only extra-wide, but it's also insulated, so the 3/4 HP was important to us; we didn't want another 1/2 HP opener that would poop out on us. (Our old 1/2 HP's clutch died trying to heft the 17-18' door up and down.) This Chamberlain was at the top of most lists, and the price was in our budget, so I ordered it online.

read full review »I bought this for a one car garage door that never had an opener before. It was a 1940 heavy wood door so I went for the 3/4 hp model. I hired an electrician to put it in but that was unnecessary. A handyman would have been fine since i had a plug in the garage and he just ran an extention cord over to it. He had a ton of problems and eventually I told him to leave and I called Chamberlain and worked thru the remaining issues myself. Chamberlain phone support was great. I've had my unit for several years. recently I've been hearing a beeping sound coming from my unit. I was thinking a backup battery my have been losing power. A visual investagation is not revealing a backup battery. anyone had this problem ?? I need some insight before making a service call.
