What's the max you will shell out for clothes for a teenager?

I'd buy em one pair of new shoes (not nike or any expensive brand) 2 pairs of jeans, 5 shirts, 5 pairs of underwear and socks and tell em if they want more to get a job and buy what they want :)

Oh boy!  I am glad I have some time before I have to worry about this one.  Right now, I have a hard time paying $10 for a Tshirt for my young boys, who will, inevitably get paint, dirt, grass stain, ketchup on it within 2 days.

That depends entirely on the teenager/child.  I currently have one child who acts likes he's applying for the job of antichrist.  He gets what I choose to give him.  Basic shoes and clothes.  I have another child who's exactly the opposite - as close to angelic as a human 9 year old can get.  She gets whatever she wants, within reason.  Children don't send us postcards and request to be born.  As their parents, it's our fault they exist.  It's our responsibility to bear that burden.  Reader's Digest version: It's a question that's answered in your heart.

It's a race to the finish with my 19 year old adopted son!  We both tend to over-spend on clothing :-)

I would not spend more than $100 but If you go to http://ChiChick.yolasite.com they have some pretty decent stuff at affordable prices. The site does not sell the items but it gives you a direct link to where you can actual buy those things. Also there are ads at the top of the first page that will show you similar items.

Hopefully it doesn't cost to much money to get my soon to be 14 yr old daughter set for school. She acts like I have all the money in the world.  I have started hitting up the surveys on the receits that I get from some stores such as JC Penneys got 15% off. Then there is Kohls which I get coupons in the mail having a charge card through that store. What was nice was we went there yesterday and had an associate help us locate a type of skinny jean in the sizes we needed. She check the back room 3 to 4 times whenever I wanted to know if they had that size. well my daughter finally found 2 pants which she thought were $16.99 find out they were in the wrong rack but when the associate checked to see if they had more of the sizes in the back, they didnt and then told us how much the pants really were. They were $21.99 each, so she came back to me with two $10 off cards towards the jean purchases. Considering one of the jeans were being purchase from my daughters friend and the other was my daughters. I still was able to use a 20% off coupon I had if I used my charge card. Now that was a great day.

I don't have kids, but I was once a teenager and I like sale clothes even as a teen. So, I would have to say I am cheaper than most people. I would only spend like $20 on jeans and $10 for a top. I am a bargain-hunter, though.
