Good unit, but choose carefully.

Cobra 2500-Watt Power Inverter —

While it will in fact run a load of 2,500 watts "continuously," when you look at the manufacturer's specifications you see it will only do so for a maximum of 60 minutes. So you should be careful about figuring out how much load you are going to need to run. When I contacted Cobra about this issue, they said that it will run a load of 2,000 watts indefinitely. For me, this will work just fine. The connected load in my case includes a refrigerator -- 600 watts -- that will certainly not be running all the time. Also, as with any similar piece of equipment, pay careful attention to the recommended cable specifications both in terms of size (wire gauge) and length. They point out correctly that it's best to keep the wiring to the batteries as short as possible (consistent with safety). It's a very good idea to thoroughly test your set-up to make sure it works properly before you have to rely on it.
