To all who give a legit reply I want to say thanks. is this a good Camera? Kodak C182 12-megapixel 3X Optical Zoom, 3" LCD Digital Camera Price: $119.99 (before $30 instant savings) I am looking for the best digital camera I can buy for under $130.00 including tax. However I know little to nothing about digital cameras. Other than my old Sony 3.5 Floppy Digital Camera I bought 10 years ago. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely Mike

I Personaly do not care for Kodak as a camera manufacturer.  They always seem poorly made to me.  If it was me I'd look at a lower end Sony, Canon or Nikon.

Mike,

I suggest you visit www.dcresource.com and under the "Reviews&Info" tab, you can find a tool that lets you hunt for cameras in a given price range.  However, "less than $200" is the best that tool can do.  I don't think that site is biased toward any particular brand of camera.

Cameras with 10x or higher optical zoom are much more versatile than the those with lower power zooms.

Kodak offers a line of Easy Share digital camera's that are excellent "entry-level" digital cameras that allow you to transition from the film camera world to the awesome world of digital pictures.

Before you go out and spend big-bucks on something with features you may not use or understand well enough to "fully" use, I'd suggest an entry-level digital camera.

Even the simple one's have many MANY megapixels of resolution.

By the time you outgrow your first digital camera, you'll be in a much less "confusing place" when sorting through all the features and functions of you next digital camera.

And, the first camera will simply become your backup camera...

I've bought 3 Panasonic Lumix in the past year and each is a great little camera. The latest ones have rechargeable lithium battery packs and the charger is very small. Fits in a standard one-pocket camera case. Reviews on them are good too.  10X optical zoom is more than enough, 4X would probably be ok. Watch for the sales:

I have to agree with Stacey I do not care for Kodak either, I have a Sony Cybershot that takes great pictures plus its easy to use.
