Hi there and welcome to the community!

I'm very amateur but I recently bought a DSLR that I'm having good luck with. It's an Olympus E-420 (10 megapixels wih a nice zoom, too).

What kind of camera(s) do you use?

Hi Jenny!

Like Michelina, I'm new to photography but enjoying my new DSLR as well. Learning alot! Looking to expand my horizons so anything you can offer would be appreciated! Thanks for the referrals! If I know of anyone in need of a "real" professional (I'm a long way away from that) I will send them your way . . . happy shooting! Keep in touch

find a camera club in your town or city,  you can learn a wealth of information, or take a digital photo course at junior college if possible

I have been into photography for quite a while and Im quite happy with my 35mm SLR.  While my info may be out of date,  they have not figured out how to make the DSLRs CCD image sensor full size yet.  Full size as in the Frame size of a 35mm Negative.  So the "what you see is what you get" consept that you get with an SLR gets thrown out the window because some of the image gets cropped using standard SLR lenses.  I'd like to be able to use my standard bayonet mount optics.  I think I'll be waiting a while before investing in one of those.
